"Yume-chan!" Koharu called out to Yume.

Yume turned around with books in her hands, she asked, "Yes?"

Koharu showed Yume her phone, the screen showing that there was a movie coming up soon, it was going to be aired tomorrow. Koharu invited, "Yume-chan, would you like to go watch this movie with us?"

The both of them stood in the busy hallway, Yume pointed out, "Us?"

"Yeah, everyone in the dorm is going!"

That probably means Subaru is going as well.

Yume shook her head and made an excuse, "Sorry Koharu-chan, as much as I would like to go. I have to study tomorrow, but I hope you have fun watching the cinemas! Ah, and I'm not going to have dinner tonight as well!"

Finishing her sentence, Yume ran off before Koharu could say anything in return. Koharu's smile disappeared and both arms dropped to her sides. Koharu watched Yume run off with her books and said to herself with a bitter smile, "That's three days in a row Yume-chan. You should eat your dinner..."

"Oh, it's just you." Yume said as she was about to close the door after seeing who it was.

"Hold it, you Stubborn Octopus." Subaru held the door right before Yume could close the door on him.

Yume rolled her eyes and took a step back and let him in, she walked back to her desk and continued working on her assignments. She asked, "Did you need something? If not, the door is open."

Subaru placed a plate of rice balls on her coffee table and said, "Koharu was worried about your health because you haven't been eating your dinners for the past few days. You should really come down for your meals, it's unhealthy."

Yume scoffed as she continued writing, "I don't need you to care about me, it's my health to care about, not yours."

"And I know you're turned down Koharu's invite because of me."

Her hand stopped and she held her pen tightly, she turned around and finally faced Subaru for the first time since their argument, "And how would you know that? You've got to be rather arrogant to think that I would turn down a mere invite just because of you."

"Then look at me and tell me that's true. Then I'll tell Koharu that I'll go for the movies tomorrow." Subaru said seriously.

He what? He told Koharu-chan he's not going just because I said I wouldn't go?

That would mean that only him and I are going to be at the dorms tomorrow.

"Just go. I have absolutely nothing to say to you."

Subaru let out a sigh and left the room. Yume clenched on her pen hardly and gritted her teeth. She was extremely frustrated over the fact that she couldn't look at him in the eye and tell him that she turned down Koharu's invite because of him.

Because that's true isn't it?

She stuffed the plate of food into her mouth and gobbled it down. After that, she brushed her teeth and slept immediately, hoping that she would be able to sleep it off.

What she couldn't sleep off was the unchanging fact that only Subaru and her would be at the dorms tomorrow.

"I'm just going to stay in my room today. Who wants to see that unpleasant face of his?" Yume said to herself, deciding her schedule the day.

The moment she said that to herself, a knock was heard, and Yume just groaned to herself, wondering what her neighbour would possibly need.

She slammed the door wide open and asked with anger in her tone, "Did you need something?"

Subaru pointed down, and said, "Yes, I'd like my lunch. It's your turn to cook today."

Yume turned around and read the time. To her surprise, it was already noon.

Did I spend my past hour trying to decide my schedule for the day?

She rolled her eyes and walked past him after locking the door, on her way down she asked Subaru if there was anything he wanted to eat. He replied, "An omelette rice would be nice."

She made her way down to the kitchen and began making two plates of omelette rice, just like how Subaru requested. Within 20 minutes, two plates of steaming fluffy omelette were on the table! Subaru and Yume sat down at the dining table and ate their lunch quietly and awkwardly.

However, Yume tried to finish her lunch as fast as possible, to leave the scene and head back to her room. She washed her plate and went back up to her room and did her usual thing.

To study.

~

Subaru hopped over the fence that was separating the balcony that was originally one, which obviously meant that he was on Yume's balcony. The curtains were closed, indicating that Yume might be possibly asleep. It was Subaru's first time standing on Yume's balcony, he stared at the sliding door, wondering about all the possibilities of why Yume could possibly be acting this way.

Ever since Subaru met Yume when she was buying her pencil lead, he's been thinking about Yume. When they had their small conversation at the entrance of the book shop, Subaru could feel the hostility from Yume with her words.

Subaru heaved a sigh and turned back, facing the night sky with the sliding door behind his back.

"I... just want to be your friend again..."
