Her hair was like the colour of lavender and her lips a pale blue. Her hazel eyes were filled with curiosity as the pale blue swirls and branch-like markings around her eyes pulled me into their depths. I felt my heart rate rise as she smiled. I looked her up and down, memorizing how her white dress draped beautifully down her long legs.
My Soul Mate sure was mesmerizing.
A delicate silver-coloured necklace dangled between the deep v-cut dress, right over her heart. A pendant in the shape of a pentacle caught my eyes as I tried not to stare at her breasts. My black hair fell into my vision, briefly distracting me.
I hadn't seen it this colour since my brother was ill. When I looked up again a dark force of magic made my heart skip a beat as my Mate turned into shadow-like smoke before quickly reappearing right in front of me.
She had closed the distance between us, and it was making me nervous. This hadn't happened since our first vision together. Her beautiful face contorted into a look of sorrow as she ran her long delicate fingers through my hair. Maybe this wasn't a normal vision. Was I in Limbo now instead?
"W-what happened to you, Ptolemeos?" She questioned, her voice was soothing and delicate. It matched her perfectly.
"War happened." I simply answered.
I never was much of a talker. Mother says I take after Father in that way.
"You haven't been taking care of yourself. I know your body looks different than this. Our spirit forms are our reflections of our true selves. By the Gods. I need to find you soon before it's too late! I've been able to feel you're slowly fading. Please, I can't escape from where I'm trapped, and I need to help you."
I frowned. I wasn't sure what to say. I couldn't leave my people and family. Especially with the Humans marching towards our Kingdom. She met my frown with one of her own and embraced me. I wrapped my large arms around her tiny form and set my head atop hers. She was so short and fragile when compared to my built body.
"I have to keep my people safe. My twin brother and I are two of the stronger warriors in my Kingdom. My parents are off at another battlefield. If you're being held in a Human camp, maybe we could work together to track you down."
"It's not a camp. It's some sort of lab. They're doing experiments on us, Ptolemeos. There are not many of my Kin alive now. The Humans will wake me soon. But before I go I have to war-" She never got to finish her sentence before I was pulled back into my physical body.
"Damn, Bro! Our Little Sis has been calling for you for a while now. We can't fight on an empty stomach!"
I shook my head at my Brother's peppy attitude and groaned into my pillow. My body was aching something terrible from the last wave of Human troops.
"I know you take longer to heal because of you saving my ass. But you still have to eat."
"I was with Rose again. Why did you wake me, Rastus?"
"Food! You big oaf!"
"You know you're calling yourself a big oaf too, right?"
"Shush! I know. Maybe I take it as a compliment." My brother joked.
I couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. I knew he was just trying to cheer me up. He tries to get me to laugh every chance he can since I gave up my soul to save him.
