Kai has never once understood the whole meaning of 'I love you' when people say it they either mean it from the heart or their lying to that person so they can get what they want from them. Kai has never understood it, if you truly love someone why would not mean it when you say you love them?
Kai remembers when he walked in on Setsuno crying like a mad man tightly hugging Hojo, he remembers seeing as both Tabe and Hojo plant small kisses on the top of his head. When Kai had a chance to talk to Setsuno he found out that Hojo and Tabe had told Setsuno that they both love him more then any Thing in the world. It made Setsuno see that Hojo and Tabe are really the only people he need is his life, they actually are better then his ex.
It still made Kai confused.
Hojo and Tabe love Setsuno and when they said it Setsuno cried because his ex probably never said it enough to Setsuno. Kai was still confused by the whole meaning of 'I love you' when you say it you and your partner could grow together and become more if you really mean it.
Through out all the shows he watch the actors and actresses who say 'I love you' in different ways, they yell it out, they cry while saying it or they laugh while saying it. Pop's always said to Kai 'you will understand what is the true meaning behind I love you when you find that someone.'
Kai took a breath as he turned over his side and smiled at the figure lying down next to him with the biggest mess of red hair all over the place. Kai moved closer to the figure and moved the hair out of the way so he could see Rappa's face. The movement of the hair caused the man in front of Kai to grumble quietly to himself till one gold eye and one red eye opened, faded scares lay gentle on his cheek and chin.
"Morning love." Rappa mumbled, he stretched his arms out and when the fighter felt the boss himself in his hands Kai was pulled into Rappa his head resting on his chest near his heart. Rappa kissed the top of Kai's head, "god I fucking love you."
Kai buried his head in the crock of Rappa's neck and smiled, "I love you too." Kai said softly.
Rappa pulled himself away from the boss and looked at him with disbelief eyes. "Did ya just say what I think you said?" Kai's face flush a bit but he shock his head. Rappa's smile grew wider as he power Kai over with millions of kisses of joy.
"Rappa stop!"
"Never!"
