I stepped inside the room and immediately found a empty chair by the window. Good, I always liked to seat by the window, watching the clouds outside, they looked so peaceful and calm. I looked around and no one seemed to be sitting near me just an occupied sit infront. Well what's new I'm always alone anyway it's a good thing that I always brought my favorite book with me. I seemed to lost track of time and realized that class was starting when the bell rang and the teacher went in. He said that a new student will be joining us. I saw a stack of book when he came in and was startled to see Sky. Damn! why does he have to be in this class. I tried to hide myself behind my book but it's no use he already saw me and started waving in my direction. Now everyone is looking at me with confusion. I blushed too shy to get this much attention.
"okay class settle down" said Mr. Watson as whispers starts to mount up. "This is Sky Hale and he is from Lausanne University. The school granted him a scholarship because of his great athletic skills and high academic grades." No wonder he brought all those books. Now sounds of fascination starts to take over the room.
"You don't need to say that Mr. Watson" Sky said "Hey guys, I'm just an ordinary teenager like you . You don't have to be impressed or anything and please treat me like everybody else"
Then I saw Jane Carlton, the popular girl in school lookes at him differently . I knew that look. I saw it several times when she had someone to victimized with her long blonde hair that are like tentacles who gets anyone who touches it but I don't really care she can have anyone she like I'm out of it.
"Okay Sky you may take any empty sit you like." said Mr. Watson.
Sky took a empty sit beside me as it is the only empty seat there is. Oh! great! this year would be so annoying, geez... I just hope he doesn't bother me that much. He nudge my arm and grinned at me, which only means that what I least expected is about to happen and that nudge and grin only translates that "Hey Laine I'm gonna bother you everytime I'm around." I'm not used to be with someone I just like to be with myself but I can't seem to voice these words out loud I know how he'll react and that's the least thing I want to happen. I nod at him in reply.
-couple of hours passed-
Ring! Ring!
It's lunch break. Yes! my stomach is already growling and is hurting badly but when I was about to stand up, a crowd was already mounting up to sky and I saw Jane Carlton pushing people away to get to Sky first and since my seat is right next to Sky I can barely pass trough, there are way too many people. I have to climb up my table and jumped off to the next just so I can moved out from this chaos because I can't reallt bare my stomach.
I got out off the room and was half way the cafeteria when someone pulled me from behind. I quickly turned around too shock to see Sky and he was drenched in sweat, he must be running.
"Laine wait up" He said
"W-What?" I answered back
"Hey, Why did you leave me?"
Too confused to answer him I just stood there looking at him dumbfounded by his question. Why would I wait for him anyway? we just met eachother and I'm not interested to hang out with a total stranger that is so annoying.
"Oh! Sky! there you are" i saw Jane Carlton approaching. So... that's what he's been running from. I almost laughed at the thought.
"I was looking for you . Do you want to have lunch together?"Jane said
I didn't want to be involved in this. I'd better go but Sky grabbed ny arm. Urgh!... why does he keeps on doing that? I'm not a rag doll to be pulled whenever he wants to.
"Uh... sorry Jane but I promised Lainr that I'd have luch with her" Sky said.
Then there was Jane's death glare , it kind of made my hair stand. I tried to speak, to reason out to Jane that I didn't asked Sky to lunch because I didn't really want to be on her badside. Last year she terrible did something wicked to a girl in the other section that she dropped out of school a month after school started and I already had enough in middle school and I don't want to suffer the same faith of that girl. She also have her ugly accomplices Becca and Shane who treats everyone like dirt and helps Jane in her modus, by modus, I mean by making people's life a hell. Before I could open my mouth, Sky drags me towards the cafeteria. When we were at the cafeteria I realized that Sky's hand is still at my arm I tried to get ir off but he just kept on pulling me until we got to a vacant table then there he dropped my arm.
"Thank you back there Laine, you just saved me from that girl. Not ot be rude but she really is annoying" said Sky
"well welcome cause I just saved you but now you're making my life a hell, did you see the look on jane's face? she's totally gonna kill me" I said as a panic attack began to rise up and I started shaking.
"Oh I'm very sorry I didn't know" he took my hand and began to pat it "but how exactly did I make your life a hell?" now he's rubbing my hand.
"Would you stop that!?" I said and took my hand away "Can't you see she likes you and she will do anything just to get you,she doesn't care if she hurts other people and that involves me because you made her think that she can't have you because I'm on the way" Woah... wait, flashback, did I actually sa this? I'm just surprised because it's been long since I talked this much.
"Wow! you would make a very good detective someday. you're very good at analysis" he said
"Wait, what? did you just heard me? I'm in so much trouble!"
"Well I don't care if she does if she's going to hurt you then she's totally not getting me"
"Dude! for a smart guys you really are too dense. I'm gonna buy some lunch I'm hungry and don't want to think about something terrible things that will happen when I'm eating my food." I replied
