Hikaru reached the base of the building, only to find that the whole first floor was flooded. He'd have to swim. Everything went well until about halfway through when he was almost decapitated by a floating cashier. He looked around to find even more junk floating around. He was running out of breath and he couldn't afford to be hit. That's when something swam towards him. It seemed to be human. It pulled him out of the water and up the stairs.

"Thanks," he gasped, "I'm Hikaru. I'm looking for the thing that drowned this place."

The other person, who seemed to be his age, kept their back to him as they spoke, "I'm Taki. I don't remember much, this place was drowned when I was seven." Taki turned toward Hikaru, who backed away. Taki had bright blue, pupil-less eyes.

"No," he said shaking his head, "you lie. Admit it, you drowned this place."

"I should have known," Taki said sadly, "They sent you to kill me. The truth is, I have the power to control water. That's what gives me these eyes. A dam broke and flooded the city, there's proof. I went out and saw it once. I remember they left me behind because they were scared of me. Scared of my powers. I knew they'd send someone someday." Hikaru stared.
