A day together
-------------------
The awkward air intensifies when everyone was seated around the coffee table, simply staring at Yohan without a word. They haven't had a guest over in ages, which explains why they lost all sense of hospitality.
Finally, something breaks the silence, and it was Yohan's grumbling stomach.
The male widened his eyes before clutching on his stomach, slightly embarrassed. "Right! I'm going to cook! I totally forgot about that." Min clapped her hands together before shooting up from the floor with a satisfied grin. Now that Yohan is here, there was something to tick off her bucket list.
Which was to cook traditional food for her boyfriend.
"Ah yes, I will help you." Min's mother stands up after her before the two went to the kitchen, leaving poor Yohan with Eunsang and Soonhee, looking ready to eat him up with a bomb of questions, and that was why Yohan quickly stood up as well and ran into the kitchen.
"Let me help too!" He exclaimed hastily, igniting a smile from Min. She proceeds to grab an apron from the hook before putting it over Yohan, her arms reached around his waist to tie the ends together. Yohan's breath hitched as his heart started to jump in crazy ways as though he was falling in love with her all over again.
Cute. Min thinks when she saw how red his ears become before taking courage to pinch his cheeks. She sighed in relief when her body didn't react to that since she was improving.
"Stop being all lovey dovey and get to work!" Min's mother scolded, her voice piercing through the sound of the running tap as she washes the vegetables.
Min takes those vegetables from the basin before passing it to Yohan. She pushes him to the closest cabinet and took out a knife. "Slice these." Yohan obliged to his girlfriend's orders, taking the knife awkwardly in his hands before slicing it very very slowly.
The girl eyes on him like a hawk as an idea pops up in her mind. Min takes a step forward, hesitant to do it as her mind reminds herself of her PTSD again, but the angel on her right shoulder discarded those thoughts and decided to go with it.
Min ever so gently, came from the back and placed her hands on top of Yohan's, slowly guiding his way larger hands to slice the vegetables properly. They became the center of attention in the entire household, their hearts thumped against their chest as Min took a leap of faith.
Meanwhile, Yohan was innerly freaking out, afraid that he might set Min's PTSD off again but he does nothing and allows her to continue, not wanting to accidentally hurt her.
"Just like that okay?" Min smiled before pulling away to do her part of the cooking.
Although the duration for the preparation took longer due to Yohan's inability to cook, Min's mother felt beyond relieved and delighted to see her daughter slowly recovering.
There was no doubt that she was dismayed by Yohan's sudden appearance. She was afraid that Yohan would just bring back bad memories but there was no way she could simply asked him to go away, especially not after how Min literally told her that Yohan had saved her that night.
It broke her heart to see Min crying from her nightmares, but Eunsang always tells her that Min gushes about how she misses Yohan alot.
Maybe this will set things back on track.
"Food's here!!" Min gleefully exclaimed as she brought a big pot of what looks like spicy stew to the table before Yohan followed suit with delicious looking crispy thin pancakes. His stomach growled even harder, just thinking of how delicious the food will be.
