"Yoongi!" You squealed as you hopped on your boyfriend's bed, jarring him awake. Yoongi shot into a sitting position, eyes wide as he stared around his room trying to figure out what was going on. When he took you in, still bouncing a little from the force with which you jumped on the bed, his face contorted into a sleepy looking scowl, before softening into a sweet smile.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of this startling awakening?" he asked ruffling his hair, before stretching his arms over his head as he yawned. Scooting closer to him, you pointed excitedly toward the window, bouncing a little in excitement.
"Snow. It's snowing!!" you squealed again. Grabbing his hand you smiled brightly at him. "Can we go sledding?"
Yoongi groaned and flopped back onto the bed. You knew Yoongi wasn't a morning person, and that he wasn't a huge fan of snow, but he'd promised that as soon as there was any snow that amounted to something he would so sledding with you. You crawled up higher on the bed so you were leaning over him.
"Please, Yoonie?" you all but whispered. Yoongi stared up at you and nodded slowly. As you started to pull back, Yoongi wrapped one large hand around the back of your neck, pulling you closer to him as he rose up and met you halfway, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. You sighed softly as he continued to kiss you, tilting your head for better access and threading his fingers through your hair. When you sighed, he smiled against your lips before pulling away from you.
"You need to get out of here so I can get ready or we'll never make it to go sledding," he whispered, his warm breath fanning across your face. You unconsciously leaned toward him again. Chuckling, he pressed a warm kiss to your cheek and gently pushed you into a sitting position, before rolling out of bed and moving around the room to collect clean clothes and a towel.
"Seriously, babe," he said, grinning his gummy smile. "Go wait in the living room or something and I'll be out before you know it."
Rolling your eyes, you hopped off his bed and flounced past him, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek as you went. You made your way to his kitchen, opting to pull down the ingredients for hot chocolate; you were sure that by the time you came back in from sledding you both would wish for something warm to drink. You were almost done making the hot chocolate when Yoongi's fresh, clean scent flooded your nostrils as his arms came around your waist. Yoongi pressed a soft kiss to the side of your head and sighed contentedly as you stirred the hot chocolate.
"I could stay like this all day," Yoongi murmured, squeezing you a little tighter. You smiled as you turned off the burner, turning in his arms to wrap your arms around his neck.
"Well, maybe after sledding we could spend the rest of the day snuggling?" You suggested.
"That sounds perfect," he answered, pressing a kiss to your forehead. Giggling, you pulled out of his embrace to get his thermos out of the cabinet. As you filled the thermos with hot chocolate, Yoongi set about pulling on his winter gear. Once the thermos was filled, you pulled on your winter gear and pulled Yoongi out the door.
"Come on! Come on!" You chirped gleefully at him as you pulled him to your car where you stowed the sled. Yoongi shook his head at your excitement and helped you wrestle the sled out of the backseat of your car. Holding the sled with one hand, Yoongi wrapped his other hand around yours and led you to the hill behind his house. When you reached the top of the hill, Yoongi dropped your hand so he could get the sled situated. It took all your effort not to squeal and clap your hands happily. You hadn't been sledding since you were a little girl and you'd really been looking forward to doing it again, especially with Yoongi.
Once the sled was situated, Yoongi sat on the back, spreading his legs for you to sit between. You gingerly made your way onto the sled, trying your best not to fall on Yoongi, or send the sled flying before you were ready. Comfortably situated between Yoongi's legs, you grabbed the rope at the front of the sled and looked over your shoulder at him.
"Ready?" you asked, practically vibrating with excitement.
"As I'll ever be," Yoongi deadpanned, wrapping his arms around your waist.
Turning to face forward again, you put one booted foot on the ground, pushing off to start your descent. As you flew down the hill, Yoongi's arms tightened around you and an excited scream tore out of your chest. This feeling was indescribable. The bite of the cold air nipping at your face as you all but flew down the hill. The snow flying up on either side as you zoomed down the hill. Yoongi's strong arms squeezing your waist. The sheer joy you felt in this moment.
Before you knew it, you were at the bottom of the hill and the ride was over. You whipped around on the sled and grinned up at Yoongi.
"Again?" he asked, looking like this time he didn't completely hate the idea.
"Yes!" you cheered, grabbing the sled before attempting to run up the hill with it. You could hear Yoongi laughing behind you and could only imagine how ridiculous you looked, but you couldn't find it in you to care. It had been a long time since you felt this free, this happy.
When you finally reached the top, you thought Yoongi was going to bust his gut from all the laughing he'd been doing. You smiled, happy to hear his happiness, even at your expense. When he finally stopped laughing and caught his breath, the two of you climbed on the slid and flew down the hill again.
The two of you ended up sledding for much longer than you had anticipated. You'd been shocked when Yoongi had asked to keep going, even when you were tired of the cold and ready to go in. Unwilling to disappoint him, you'd gone again, until finally he too was sick of the cold and ready for the promised snuggling and hot chocolate.
As you sat on the couch, snuggled into Yoongi's broad chest sipping hot chocolate, you couldn't help but feel so thankful for this moment. The peace you felt with Yoongi was better than the thrill you felt flying down that hill. Nuzzling your nose into his neck, you stifled a giggle at his sound of protest when your cold nose met the warm flesh of his neck.
"Yoongi," you murmured into his neck. "Thank you for today."
"Of course, baby," he answered, kissing the top of your head.
Snuggling impossibly closer to him, you wished for more days like this. You wished for a lifetime of contentment and happiness with this man, that you would trade every sledding opportunity in the world for, because there was no thrill that could top the happiness you felt with him.
Ya'll, I recognize, that this story is probably super cheesy, but I made it because I'm a cheesy person. Last year around this time I was a depressed, hot mess, and Born noticed and we went from being sort of friends, to being for real friends. Thanks for being my friend dude. Thanks for not getting sick of me no matter how anxious I am or how annoying I feel! I'm glad you exist friend and I'm thankful that BTS and fanfiction brought me together with one of my very best friends. <3 I hope this Yoongi fluff conveys my feelings of how much I appreciate you and your friendship.)
