Chapter 15: The Talk

Hope's POV

I just walked away from my dad, i just don't get it. One moment I have this stupid hollow in me, there are radicals who want me dead, my mom dies, then Celia comes out of nowhere and takes the Hollow out of me. I'm fine then later another witch puts another poison in me and then I trigger my curse, then she and the twins take it out of me. And now my dad bites the woman who has been saving me left and right and now she is his soulmate? Like what the hell? Stuff like that doesn't just happen overnight? Like I know she cared for him, but so much that she is now soulmates?!

"Hope, hey wait up" I looked to see MG running after me.

"Not now MG, I got stuff to do" I said as he stopped and just looked at me, great now I feel bad. I turned around to see him with a sad face on him.

"What is it MG?" I asked as he smiled a bit.

"Um did you know your dad is currently rampaging all over the whole campus looking for you?" he said as I groaned to myself.

"Just tell him, I'm gone" I said as I walked away again, I just can't deal with all of this stuff, like mom just died and yes I know he didn't love mom like that. That was all in Uncle Elijah's territory and they were like this one night stand. Ugh but still is he trying to find me another woman to be my mother, cause I have one and it's my mom, the woman who gave birth to me. I then wasn't looking where i was going and bumped into someone causing me to fall on the grass.

"Ah Hope just the person I wanted to talk to" Celia said with a smile, I could only fake smile and try to walk away from her.

"Thanks, but no thanks" I said as I tried to get away from her. I really don't want to talk to my dad's new girlfriend.

"Please Hope I need to talk with you" she said as I got away from her.

"Just leave me alone" I said.

"Phasmatos Oculacs" she said as then suddenly everyone was gone and it was just her and I in a white space.

"What is this?" I asked as she only smiled.

"This is a private spell, so I can speak with you without anyone interrupting. Now speak what's on your mind, no holding back" she said as I just felt like tearing her apart, along with father and uncle.

"I don't understand" I said as I fell to the floor.

"What is it that you don't understand?" She asks as she walks closer to me.

"How you can just all of a sudden become my new mom?" I said as she cocked her head to the side. She sits down to me as she pulls my head to look her in the eye.

"Hope, I would never wish to replace your mother, she always will be your mother. She give birth to you and protected you with her own life, even when you were still in her belly" she said as I looked at her.

"But you're now soulmates, with my dad. So doesn't that mean you're like.. step mom?" I said.

"What's going on with your dad and I, I cannot explain as it's just as new to you as it is with me. We just need to be strong and figure it as we go" she explained as she helped me on my feet. She wiped my tears away and smiled.

"Besides if I did become your father's wife, I would ask you first if it was okay, if anything think of me as you second mom, for I will never ever take your real mother's place. Hayley meant a lot to me as well, as I was there when she was born and I was the one to make sure she was taken care of good people when her parents were murdered" she said as I nodded. All the anger I had... All the anger I had built up, it's just went away. Her smooth and calming voice relaxed me as her facial expression was just as calming. The space around us slowly faded and we were back in the yard of the Salvatore school.
