Mei's POV

Looking at all the lights of Dublin City at night it was truly magical . Jeff let me go around on my own for a while , he said he had some business to attend to . I watched everyone walk by as they smiled at each other , eagerly waiting Christmas . I sat on the bench as I had a hot chocolate in my hand . I looked up at the sky then I saw a girl sit beside me . I smiled at her , she had beautiful flowing brown hair and she had a black beanie on . She looked at me and smiled , I noticed her hair covering one of her eyes , she had beautiful green eyes like mine .

I smiled back as she spoke up in a soft voice "I'm Natalie , it's nice to finally meet you . You have grown up so much Mei , your so beautiful " . She had tears in her eyes , she reminded me of something I quite couldn't put my hand on . I looked at her sympathetically , then I knew immediately who she was . "Your Clockwork !" I exclaimed as she looked at me wiping away her tears as she smiled softly .

"I guess I am ......" She droned on moving her hair out of her eye swiftly revealing a clock . I smiled "I hope Jeff is looking after you " she said before standing up . "It was lovely seeing you again , Mei " . I didn't say anything as she walked away as the darkness consumed her . I looked at my watch it read 12:34 , I waited on the bench of Jeff because he told me to wait for him .

I waited for what seemed like forever , looking at my watch constantly , trying to shake Natalie out of my head . I then heard a crunching of snow as I saw a figure running towards me . I saw Jeff as he panted putting his hands on his knees . "Sorry I'm late !" He panted . I looked at him blankly .

He handed me a small package with a crimson bow , he smiled and said "Merry Christmas !" . I opened it as it revealed a heart-shaped locket . I turned over the back as it read Mei , Merry Christmas . I smiled at a Jeff as he took the locket and put it on around my neck . " There you look a little bit cuter , now " he said softly as I felt the cold metal against my skin .

I looked up as I felt more snow fall down , gracefully from the sky . " Thank you Jeff , I never got to celebrate Christmas properly . Jack always got me sardines in a can " I said smiling as I remembered the card I got from Jack , explaining he was in The Creepypasta realm and Jeff was now my supervisor or "friend" . I missed Laughing Jack a lot , with the two of us it was small but it was nice and homely .

I felt a tear streak my face , feeling warm against my skin . I looked towards Jeff as he walked towards me and hugged me fiercely . I looked at the darkness as the street lights lit up the street and the snow fell . "Jeff......" I muttered , he then tightened his grip on me as he buried his face further into my neck . I felt more tears fall down my face in happiness and sadness . That here I was no longer alone and someone loved me yet I was hugging the man that killed my parents .

I heard Jeff mutter "Mei , I promise I will keep you safe ! You don't need to cry any more ...... " . I felt myself chuckle a bit "You idiot !" I yelped through the cries . Jeff pulled me out of the embrace "I promise I will keep you safe Mei " he said his voice slightly breaking .

"I hate you so much " I said before I leaned into and kissed him in the lips . He responded as he ran pulled me tighter into his , his arms around my waist . "I'll keep you safe " I felt him say against my lips
