Annabeth finished blowing up the last balloon and tossed it into the party room where the New Year celebrations were going to take place. "Whew," she sighed and placed a hand on her swollen belly. "Percy, when is everyone supposed to arrive?"

Her husband appeared in the doorway. He was carefully balancing two boxes of blue cookies in one hand and in the other was a beautifully decorated New Year cake with 2020 handwritten in gold fondant. "Mom and Paul are coming over here after they pick up Riley from the airport because she flew here from her college, so they should be here soon. Then Mom has to leave at four to get Estelle from her Ballet class. Everybody else will get here around six, then let the party begin!"

"Good," Annabeth said as she helped Percy set down the cookies and cake on the food table. "Oh, it will be so good to see everyone, especially with Riley and Andrew in college."

"Yeah," Percy sighed as he turned slowly in a circle to admire his wife's decorative handy work. "Can you believe any of this? Like, we've been married for three years, we're going to have a son, we're alive."

"It's really unbelievable, isn't it?" Annabeth remembered when she'd first met Percy. He hadn't changed much since then, but he still had changed so much. The same with her too, same with everyone they knew. It was amazing how back then she had wanted so much to leave Camp and to grow up, now she would do so much to go back to being twelve years old and best friends with Grover and Percy and getting in trouble with them. But here they were, Grover and Juniper married and with a pair of twin satyrs and living at Camp Half-Blood, Annabeth and Percy married and ready to have a baby of their own. Leo and Calypso married and have their own repair shop. Hazel became a teacher in New Rome and Frank started a veterinarian job for all the animals in New Rome and Camp Jupiter. Will and Nico are now taking care of young demigod kids. Clarisse and Chris, married and living near CHB to help Chiron train demigods. Everyone was happy in their own ways, even the ones who were in Elysium were happy.

And now another year would be here, another year for the demigods to live. And it amazed Annabeth that she had lived to even be here to think about these things.
