"THREE, TWO, ONE, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!" The screams of joy and celebration could be heard throughout all of Camp Jupiter and New Rome. Reyna grinned from her spot in front of Jupiter's Temple on Temple Hill. Reyna let the demigods celebrate for a few minutes before raising her hands to quiet down the crowd, then she shouted at the top of her voice, "LET THE 43rd CAMP JUPITER NEW YEAR FEAST AND GAMES BEGIN!" More screaming and shouting pursued this announcement. Reyns grabbed a torch and turned to enter the Temple of Jupiter where she put the flame to a rope which once on fire would set off dozens of fireworks in a marvelous display. She rushed back out of the Temple before she had any chance of becoming part of the firework show. Reyna loved New Years at Camp Jupiter, even if she was the one who always had to start the fireworks- Jason didn't like doing it when he was praetor and Frank couldn't for obvious reasons. She had no idea if the feast and games they played from midnight through New Year's day were Roman traditions, but this was one of the few things that were not particularly a tradition but still a tradition. If that makes sense. The feast will last for twelve hours, from midnight to noon, with so much food they never eat it all no matter how hungry they were to begin with. And the games were the most fun part of New Year's. There were games like Spike Ball and Giant Janga, then there were unicorn racing and mini Marathons. All of them were fun and anyone could do any of the games. The rest of the seven came up to Reyna, Frank, and Hazel. Percy whistled, "These are some crazy celebrations."
"Definitely better than a Camp Half-Blood New Year?" Reyna asked.
They all looked at each other before Leo answered, "Nah, but there's more food here."
