Have you ever come home from a long trip and instantly felt peaceful because your long journey was completed?
That's just how you feel on Earth, and let me tell you something, that peace only lasts for a short time.
Imagine completing your journey on Earth and going home to Heaven, that peace lasts for eternity.
It doesn't last 5 minutes and then go away, that's an everlasting peace.
As Christians, we are guaranteed the promise of Heaven if we know and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
When you enter Heaven, Jesus will be standing there with your "Heavenly Welcome Basket", complete with a crown, a robe and your own mansion complete with the things you enjoyed here on Earth.
As a joke, I've always asked for my mansion to be filled with writing supplies and have a view of the ocean.
In the next chapter I'll discuss ways of readying yourself for your transition to Heaven.
