Jimin's mother laid there her eyes closed, taking a good rest, asleep on the hospital bed after going through a hard labor to give birth to Jimin.
Like a shadow, someone sneaked into her room.
"Your time is up my dear sister" whispered a masked woman who stood by the bed.
As the masked woman gave Jimin's mother one last glance, her eyes fluttered open in shock. And out of pure reflex, she grabbed the masked woman's hand tightly.
The masked woman and Jimin's mother made eye contact as they both stared each other down. If someone were to be there, they would have seen the lighting shooting out of their eyes and the sparks flying.
"You're too late to stop me sister", the masked woman sneered.
Jimin's mother looked on sadly, "I know"
The masked woman sighed looking at her frail sister, "I'll grant you one wish and I promise to abide it"
She coughed as she looked at her half-covered face. Even with the mask on, she could recognize her.
"Take Jimin and protect him. Please.", she begged the masked woman.
"I will."
"Thank you my sister", she uttered her last words as her heartbeat stopped, drawing a straight line.
At that moment, not too far away in a distant room, the loud cries of Jimin could be heard.

When Jimin was three, his father didn't want to be lonely anymore. And thus he remarried. But the thing is, the person whom he married was his former wife's sister.
"She is now your mother Jimin", Jimin's father bent down as he introduced her to him.
"She's not my mother!", Jimin scoffed as he puffed up his cheeks.
"Jimin! Apologize to your mother now!"
"It's okay dear. I'm sure Jimin just needs some time to adjust", Jimin's stepmother mitigated with his father.
"Hello Jimin. I'm sure you recognize me.", his new stepmother smiled at him.
"You're not fitting to be my mother. You know what you did", Jimin uttered as he walked away.
Though at that moment her face completely changed. It was one of hurt, anger, and sadness.
