Episode 8 - A Border Crisis

Scene 1

Ships are shown slamming down several miles outside the city, releasing hundreds of Lava Men at a time. The creatures sprint out of the ship and towards the city, shouting and grunting as they go. The screen pans out, showing Loki watching it from a computer. Behind him, Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne sit in their cell.

Loki: A wonderful sight, isn't it? All under my control.

Hope: You'll never get away with this!

Loki smiles.

Loki: Oh, but I already did. See, my Lava Men will reach the city by tomorrow or so, maybe sooner. Then the city will be neutralized. Obey me... or die.

Scott: We'll stop you before that can happen!

Loki: Scott Lang. You are normal size now, but your words still are small. You know, I wondered who was beneath that small ant suit. I was very surprised when I realized it was a human. An ordinary human. Without that suit you are nothing, isn't that right?

Scott: I guess we'll find out.

Loki: I guess we will.

Loki looks back at the screen, a smile playing on his lips.

Avengers: Assemble logo appears.

Scene 2

Iron Man and Thor stand in the place where Loki, Scott, and Hope had been a moment before.

Iron Man: I can't believe it. We let Loki slip through our fingers again. Now he has Scott and Hope hostage, and we have nothing.

Thor: Not nothing.

Iron Man: What do you mean?

Thor: I know Loki. He uses the same tricks over and over. So, before he disappeared on us, I threw a small tracker onto his back.

Iron Man: Thor, you're a genius, man. So, let's get back to the mansion and find that son of a bi--

Thor: Tony, wait.

Iron Man: What?

Thor: We can't use the tracker from the mansion.

Iron Man: Why not? No, you didn't...

Thor: It was the only one I had on me. It was a S.H.I.E.L.D. remote tracker. Which means...

Iron Man: We have to go to S.H.I.E.L.D. to use it.

Scene 3

Black Widow runs towards Hawkeye and Rick Jones.

Black Widow: Guys, it's Hulk, he esca... oh.

Black Widow sees Hulk lying unconscious on the ground.

Hawkeye: I took care of him. It won't last long, though.

Rick: So, I don't know who you guys are, but I'm Rick Jones. I'm a friend of Bruce.

Black Widow: I'm Black Widow, this is Hawkeye. Natasha and Clint.

Rick nods.

Rick: Nice to meet you guys. So, we need to figure something out quickly. And before Hulk wakes.

Hawkeye: I won't be able to hit him with a timeout arrow again, I'm all out of those.

Rick: Yeah, and Drax left because he figured that there was no more destroying to do.

Black Widow: Who's Drax?

Rick shakes his head.

Rick: Nevermind. He kind of freaked me out, anyway. Kept mentioning revenge for his family. And some Thanos guy.
