When Odin gives the throne of Asgard to Thor rather than Loki, Loki goes to take revenge on Thor, who is hiding out on Earth. Thor can't stop Loki on his own, he needs a team.

Scene 1
The Avengers are sitting in the control center, playing cards, when an incoming call from Nick Fury appears on the screen. Tony hits a button and Fury's face shows up.
Fury: We have a problem. I need everyone in on... oh great, you're all here. That's... hold on, are you playing cards?
Tony, Steve, Scott, Hope, Natasha, and Clint all quickly hide their cards.
Tony: What? No! Of course not.
Fury: Good, because this room is not for recreation. It's for mission prepping. Anyway, there's been reports of various attacks and robberies around the area. The catch is that the perpetrator hasn't been seen by anyone but the victims. All camera footage is corrupt.
Steve: Okay, so what do you want us to do?
Fury: Interview some of the victims and try to get a clear description of the perpetrator. Then track them down and put a stop to it.
Scott: Sounds easy enough. Thanks, Nick.
Fury: Do not call me Nick. It's Fury to you. And everyone else, for that matter.
The screen goes black again.
Clint: Interview the victims? I didn't know that the Avengers did interviews.
Tony: We don't. But it seems like that's the only way to get more information about the threat.
Natasha: So what do we do, show up in full costume and demand a private conversation?
Tony: Only one of us needs to go, but we all can listen. I'll hook whoever wants to up with some surveillance tech so we can hear everything that's said.
Steve: I'll do it.
Tony: Great. I'll grab the tech.
Avengers: Assemble intro plays.
Scene 2
Steve sits down on a couch next to a young lady. He's in her room in an apartment complex in his normal clothes.
Steve: So, Miss... Jeanine, was it? I just need to know everything you saw.
Jeanine: Well I didn't see much. It happened so fast, you see. I was walking down the street when I was jumped. Only, it was very strange. The man didn't come from the front or the back, he came from above. And I say 'man' but I don't know what it was. It was dark out, you see.
Steve: That's okay, just tell me what you think you saw.
Jeanine: It was like an iron robot, but it could fly.
