YVETTE FELT ANGER BOIL IN HER BLOOD. Everything that had happened to her — the beginning of her parents' fear for her safety, the separation from them, the vanishing of her childhood — it had all started from this man. The sole reason on why she was the way she is right now.

Smiling bitterly, she clenched her fingers into fists as she stared him right in the eyes. "You."

Sheng didn't seem to recognize her, merely raising a hand and signaling to her — sending his men charging toward her.

Growling out years of pent-up anger and hatred, Yvette was a whirl of white fury as she threw her weight against one of them — pushing them into each other as she began to fight. Every jab of her elbow, the burn against her knuckles, and strain of her legs in her kick — it only fueled her more and more.

She managed to get past them all, soaring into the air as she used the couch as leverage and landing directly in front of Sheng. "You don't remember me, asshole?" she spoke in Cantonese.

His fist struck the air her face had been at, swiftly locking in combat with each other. "No," he replied in a sneer. "Am I supposed to?"

She snarled, directing all her energy into attempting to take him down — arms and knees and elbows. He was just as good at kung fu as she was — it would take some time before she could subdue him.

There was a faint buzz in her earpiece — the thing nearly smashed in when Sheng threw her roughly against the wall. "Zero, you're supposed to be keeping a lookout for Four," One hissed. "Where the hell are you?"

"There's four bogeys on the rooftop," Seven said.

Yvette ducked down to avoid Sheng's swing and spared a glance at the stairs to see that four of his men had woken up and ran up the rooftop. Before she replied, she let out a shout of pain that was heard through the others' earpieces as Sheng sent her flipping through the table and breaking the glass.

"Zero, what the fuck is happening?" Four's breathy voice came through as he tried to be silent amongst the men who'd come up.

"I'm a little busy here," she said before yelling and tackling Sheng, pinning him down with her thighs against him and all her weight on him. "You're the fucker who kidnapped me fifteen years ago and used me as hostage," she spat at him in Cantonese.

Sheng stopped struggling for a moment, eyes narrowing at her as he tried to search her face. He let out a bark of laughter, twisting his leg around hers and flipping them as he slammed her head roughly to the floor. "The daughter of the jackass who'd ratted me out to the police?"

"Zero, hang in there — we're turning up the volume," One said through her earpiece.

She sent her knee flying directly up into the man's groin, flipping them again as she sent him a shove into the aquarium. "I'm nobody's daughter anymore," she seethed, her jaw aching as she spat blood on his face.

Sheng recovered swiftly, stepping over crushed glass before he reached over for a chair. But just as he picked it up and threw his arms back to send it smacking into her — a loud droning sound echoed throughout the tower.

Face bloody with her spit and bruises, Sheng paused as he looked around him. "What the fuck is that?" he snarled.

Yvette pushed herself to a standing position, grunting in pain as she grinned deviously at him. "It's THX, man," she said, wiping blood off the side of her mouth before flinching in pain.
