A Latin Poem

Dulce bellum inexpertis

Serva me

Viviumus

Dulce bellum inexpertis

Fluctuat nec mergitur

Liber est

Non discedere

Flutuat nec mergitur

Forest fortuna adiuvat

Habeat fiduciam

Dum excusare credis, accusas

Forest fortuna adiuvat

Translation:

War is sweet for those who have not experienced it

Save me

Let us live

War is sweet for those who have not experienced it

It is tossed by the waves but does not sink

It is free

It does not leave

It is tossed by the waves but does not sink

Fortune favors the brave

Have confidence

When you believe you are excusing yourself, you are accusing yourself

Fortune favors the brave
