The fact that Charity promised that they would be leaving early was what Aquila held on to. She did not have the energy to get shitfaced when she needed to rest up for her long shift the next day. Then again, she thought, she was young and deserved to have a nice night out. She felt the tug of her skinny jeans on her thighs as she walked into the bar in the heart of magical London and the fabric of her shirt hugging her midsection like glue as she turned to look to her friends.Aquila tilted her head to her left, listening in on the conversation between Charity and Margo.
"You have to tell her," Margo whispered harshly.
"No I don't," Charity said back, sending their friend a glare.
"Yes you do, this isn't gonna work out well-"
"What isn't gonna work out well?" Aquila questioned, stopping her walk to the bar, narrowing her eyes as them.
Margo, ever the one to crack under pressure, opened her mouth to answer, but was suddenly gasping for breath when Charity quickly flug her arm at Margo's midsection..
"Oh will you stop acting like animals," Aquila said narrowing her eyes at the pair.
Charity shrugged her shoulders causing the black straps of her thin top to move with them. She wiggled her eyebrows and with a sultry smile stated, "Men always love a good cat fight."
Scoffing, and rolling her grey eyes, Aquila continued her treak to the bar, but soon picked up her pace as she spotted a familiar redhead filling up a drink.
Throwing herself into a stool and delicately resting her folded arms across the counter, she leaned forward and yelled joyfully, "Josie, how are you? We haven't seen you in a while!"
The owner of the frequently visited place and current bartender was a friend of theirs. The tall redhead was a great person to vent your troubles to over a strong glass of Firewhisky. That's usually what Aquila, Charity, and Margo did whenever they went out and after more time spent with Josie and her Firewhisky, they became good friends.
"What's your poison tonight girls?" She questions with a devious smile.
"Something to get us over the annoying men in our lives," Charity said with a pout placed on her lips.
"Ahh, I remember those types of hangovers," Josie said with a wince, reaching for three shot glasses. "I don't have that problem anymore," she said with a happy smile, flashing them her ring on her left finger.
"I'm still mad you didn't invite us to your wedding," Aquila called out, pretending to be insulted. ""I mean, who wouldn't want me to attend their wedding?"
"We wanted to keep it small. And I didn't need you three messing with the groomsmen," Josie said, flashing them a wicked smile over her shoulder.
"Wait a second," Charity began, holding her hands up, "You mean to tell me you withheld us from maybe meeting our potential husbands?"
Josie set their drinks down in front of them and ducked her head down to huddle together with the girls. "My Daniel had to have been blessed by Merlin himself to look the way he does because trust me, the rest of the men in his family make Severus Snape look like husband material."
Charity, Margo, and Aquila all recoiled from their huddle as they tried to stop the images of a domesticated Snape in their heads.
Aquila was having a good time, in fact she was having a great time with watching her friends flirt with helpless men and listening to the horrible jokes the drunks were making. She was relaxed and made a show of twirling her wand to ward off anyone who might want to just "talk" to her. However, the person who settled in the seat next to her was either too dumb or just plain ignorant.
