I awoke to the sound of knocking.

"Skyler? Are you up?" Carson's voice rang clear.

I flung my legs over the bed as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I walked to the door slowly as ever. I opened the door to see Carson smiling. Carson looked at me and began to laugh.

"Man Sky! You look... Awful." He strode into my room.

Over his shoulder was slung a giant bag. He set the bag down at the foot of my bed.

"Here clothes. Oh! And that's the bathroom. You could use a shower." He said smiling, "I will be waiting outside when you're done. You have about thirty minutes before it's six." Carson said closing the door to my bedroom.

I opened the bag to find an assortment of clothes and colors. I pulled out a pair of black and red shorts and a black t-shirt. The t-shirt was huge so I discarded it across the room. I then pulled out a dark red V-neck. I smiled and walked across my room towards the bathroom.

I emerged from the bathroom refreshed and I smelled clean and new. I quickly threw on my old pair of shoes. I stood feeling a sense of accomplishment. But then I felt instantly sad. My sister would love this place. The water from the shower was warm and soft; back at home the water was hard and always freezing. I looked at the room. Father would love this place too with all of this technology. I looked at the clock on my nightstand. The clock said: 5:52. I nodded to myself. I opened the door to see Carson talking to Bridget. Bridget was dressed in a black V-neck and black pants that looked like skinny jeans. She had black tennis shoes on and her beautiful blonde hair was falling freely around her shoulders. She looked at me with her sparkling eyes. Beautiful? Sparkling? Stop it! She is just a girl!! Carson looked at me. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and black jeans. His number tattoo was barley showing. He gave a smile. I didn't notice his piercings before.

"Shall we be off?" Carson said gesturing towards the stairs.

"Yeah we probably should. I will go grab some breakfast from the kitchen. You want anything?" Bridget said starting down the stairs.

"Yeah I will take a coffee. You want anything Sky?" Carson asked turning to me.

"Uh." I said.

Bridget just smiled, "So three coffees? Sounds good." Bridget turned and gracefully glided down the stairs.

Carson walked down the stairs as I followed I could smell delicious treats wafting from the kitchen. We turned a corner and at the end of the hall was a silver door. Carson pushed a button and there was a ding. We entered what looked to be a metal cage. We made our decent down to the basement.

"So, I hope I'm not too bold saying this but..." Carson said turning to me, "But I think you have a thing for Bridget."

My face suddenly felt hot.

I cleared my throat then replied, "Nah..."

I looked at Carson. One of his eyebrows was raised and he tilted his head. "Besides, you are with her man," I said quickly.

Carson then began to give a hearty laugh. "What are you talking about?" Carson laughed.

"Well you two seem more than friends so I thought..." I said but then Carson cut me off.

"No. Ew, no. Heavens no. Bridget and me are practically siblings. We grew up together. There is definitely nothing going on between her and me. Even the thought is just...ICK! Besides she's not my type that's for sure." Carson began laughing again. My face grew hotter.

The elevator beeped and we stepped out to see a giant room filled with equipment. I looked around there weren't any guards and there weren't any cameras. This place was fascinating.
