I looked at Skyler limp on the floor.
"Think! Think!!!" I began to whisper to myself. I looked at Skyler color was draining from his face by the second.
Wait. I wonder if I can use the Queen's words, to save Skyler, like she did to that kid in the town. I thought.
It was a crazy idea. But it had to work. I looked at Skyler then touched my hand to his side "Vulneri" I whispered, luckily everyone was too busy with training to notice.
There was a white light. The bruise began to fade from Skyler's side. Color began to return to his face.
I did it. Ha!
Skyler began to move but his eyes remained closed. I held his hand in mine. His heartbeat was calm and relaxed. I felt extremely tired. I looked at him with sympathy, it was only his first day and he nearly died.
Carson came running up, the Queen briskly walking behind him. Carson slid as he came next to Skyler.
"What? His bruise it's gone. And he doesn't look dead!" Carson looked at me, "What did you do?"
The Queen came and knelt by Skyler.
"Who healed him?" The Queen asked as she turned to me.
Both of their eyes were on me now. I panicked.
"A random guy came out of now where and healed him. I didn't see a face." I lied.
The Queen nodded, "Hmm well whoever healed him has very strong powers and abilities. Best if we find out who this mysterious healer is."
The Queen stood and walked back towards the elevator and disappeared from the training floor.
"Did you really not see his face Bridget?" Carson said lifting up Skyler's head.
"Too many people." I replied quietly. People began to gather now and tried to see why the Queen had come to the Training floor. Carson looked up at me with concern.
"Hmm... okay then. Later." He said looking at Skyler.
"Skyler!" Carson shouted, "Wake up!"
"He's out cold. Grab a guard. Let's take up to his room." I said looking a Carson.
"Yeah okay," Carson said slowly while waving over a guard that the Queen had come with. The guard helped Carson carry Skyler's body to the elevator.
The elevator dinged. We were on the top floor. Use of the elevator was prohibited to everyone unless it was an emergency. They carried Skyler's body into his room and plopped him on his bed.
"Thanks, agent." Carson said closing the door behind the guard.
We stood in Skyler's room for a moment just stood there until Carson said, "So what are you going to tell me?"
I looked around.
"So?" Carson asked leaning on the bed frame. I took a deep breath.
I could trust Carson, right? He would never tell anyone if I asked him too.
"It was me," I whispered. I looked at Carson. His face looked lost and confused.
"But...how?" He asked stunned.
I began to tell him the whole story of how I thought I could save Skyler if I really believed and that I said one word and it worked. Carson stood in silence. Four minutes past in complete silence.
"Bridget...if the Queen ever found out..." Carson looked at me with concern and sadness, "If she ever found out! You would be accused of trying to over through the Queen! You would be killed or worse...you can't tell anyone, understand? You shouldn't have even told me!" Carson now was pacing and his voice was strangely higher than normal.
