bonnie
bonnie shut the engine off, she looked up to her dead boyfriends house. the for sale sign was still there.
the prepared drinks on the coffee table. clive's hands gripping onto bonnie's wrist.
she stepped out of the car and slammed the door. she charged up to the front door and was reminded of the time clive had told her he could fall in love with her.
"i could fall in love with you."
the voice in her head felt so real. she gulped as she stared at the door handle.
she eyed a rock that laid on the porch.
the sound of glass shattering could be heard.
bonnie stepped into clive's house, staring at each layer of dust left behind. she could almost smell him.
she missed the walls, the floor, everything. it all reminded her of him.
bonnie gracefully sipping down the drink clive prepared for her.
her shaky hand touched the railing of the staircase that led to his bedroom. she gently made her way up, inching closer to safety. she could feel her heart picking up its pace. her face was warm.
she got to the white wooden door and slowly twisted the knob, pushing it open.
the room felt so dark. like his presence was there. in her imagination.
bonnie finally felt at home with clive. she felt like she had met him again.
then the photos of his dead body rolled into her mind.
clive laying dead on the floor, his eyes closed; at peace.
bonnie could practically see him laying in his resting spot.
she smiled, a tear dripping down her cheek.
she knelt down and laid next to "him".
"i can't wait to see you again, truly." her hand reached down into her pocket, gripping the switchblade. she blinked her tears away, edging the blade closer to her neck.
all you could hear was a deafening scream.
alyssa
"why did your dad have these?" alyssa held up a stack of sports cards.
"not sure," james laughed.
james: my dad collected those ever since he was a kid.
"interesting... oh, look," alyssa pointed out. she held up a photo of james's mom.
james's smile slowly faded away. he looked into his dead mother's eyes and felt like wanting to explode.
james staring at his moms car that was emerged into the water.
"james, it's alright," alyssa reminded him. she put the photo back in the cardboard box full of other things related to his mom and dad.
"james?" she turned to face him.
"yeah?"
"it's okay."
his teary eyes glistened. there was a moment of silence.
"i let her die."
alyssa replied quite fast. "james, no you didn't. it's not your fault. trust me."
james began having a full breakdown, his shoulders trembled and his face scrunched up in sadness.
alyssa silently stared for about a minute before embracing him in a hug.
