The Pet Store

Dear Journal,

This is my first time getting to write! I'm so glad that I can do this now that my mom taught me! Today I was taken by a nice looking family, there's a beautiful lady, and two little kids. They talk in a different langauge, momma taught us how to understand it... I think that

they speak English. Mommy told me that I'm an adult bird now, but I sure didn't feel that way! When the petshop owner came to the family cage, I felt very frightened. I started flying around hoping the family would change their mind, but the petshop owner grabbed me anyway. I didn't go down without a fight though! I bit and squawked the whole way to the new cage that he put me in, which was much smaller than the family cage. It only had room for one bird: me.

The family gave him the money and covered my cage with a striped towel, I was actually excited about seeing the outside world even though I didn't want to be taken away from home. This towel was an obstacle, but I kept my beak closed anyway and I didn't dare move. I heard the sound of an engine starting just like the ones I'd hear from inside the petstore only this time it was much louder! Then I felt the vehicle go into motion (just so you know, journal, mommy told us about everything! She said that at one time she roamed free and saw the outside, dad was born into captivity, that's why he wasn't able to teach us like she could).

The ride to my new home took FOREVER! It was bumpy too! They took the cage out and opened a door. I heard voices, I think the lady told the children not to mess with me, and the cage was uncovered! Mommy said sometimes she would land on a window sill and watch humans inside this place called a kitchen, it's where they make food! I think this is where I am now... I think. I'm on a thing called an island, and to my right there's a sink and a stove. To my left there's a microwave, a small oven, and a refrigerator. In front of me (the side with my cage door) there's a table with four chairs, behind me there's a living room. I was confused to see that there was four chairs, there were only three humans that I know of in this family!

There was a noise at the front door, which is in the living room, and in came another human!!! This one was tall with short hair, like the little boy that I saw, only darker. The beautiful lady smiled at him and hugged him and pointed at me, telling him that I was gonna be a school pet. The human looked kinda relieved, like he was glad that I wasn't gonna stay! Then I was yet again confused about the school pet part. This place didn't look like a school for sure! Why would they take me here and then take me to a school! What kind of kids would I be put with! Well... I'm tired for now journal, they've covered me again. It's dark and scary in here! I really want mommy..... goodnight anyways...

HOORAY!!!! ^-^ I'm starting a new story! I'm almost done with the next chapter for Megatron, too! :D Plz comment, tell me if I need to improve! Remember that this is based on real events that happened with my bird, so I won't change up things too much... BUT if there's anyway I can tell the story better, plz let me know!
