Promise?

Chapter 1

Nico's POV
I heard a knock on my door. Who would knock on my door at 5:30 am? I got and answered the door.

"Hello?" I said half asleep.

"Hey Nico! You look half dead! Are you okay? I woke up and came to check on you. You look horrible! Well not horrible just, you know. Um sorry I'm babbling." Who else would be there other than Will Solace. He looked at his shoes and then at me.

"I'm fine Will I got released from the infirmary a month ago. You don't need to check up on me." It was really nice that he did I mean he actually cared about me. Not that I care. He's just being a doctor.

"I know I was just wondering. I just get nervous that you're gonna do something and get really hurt." Will sounded really concerned. Maybe he did care not just in a doctor way...

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap, it's just
I'm not a morning person."

"It's alright you can go back to bed."

"I mean it's gonna be hard since I've already stared at the sun." Will game me a smirk-oh no what's he gon-

"I can help with that. Let's go." He took me inside and shut the door. I was too in shock-and maybe enjoying it to argue.

"Get into bed." Will told me. Then I blushed but it was too dark for him to notice.

"No Will, its fine I can be awake we only have two hours left anyway." He went and sat on my bed. Thank gods it's dark or he would see how much I was blushing. He patted my bed.

"C'mon doctors orders you need rest. Please lay down. I'm not leaving until I know you're asleep." I fought the urge but I sat next to him. He sighed and lightly pushed me down. So I was laying down on the bed.

"You need to lay down when you sleep. Duh death boy."

"Don't call me that!" Gods how red is my face right now!

"Mhm okay. Well go to sleep alright I'll be waiting until you do." I didn't move I just stared at him.

"Do I have to lay down to?" He laughed an laid in my bed, and put his arm around me.

"Go to sleep Nico" I smiled and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up the next morning and Will wasn't there. I got really worried until I looked at the clock. It was 9:00! I ran out of my cabin but no one was in sight.
Where was everyone? I walked up to the infirmary to ask Will for some food since he normally kept some knowing I miss breakfast sometimes. He wasn't there, in fact no one was. I found an apple and walked up the hill as I ate it. I had only 4 bites before dropping it in shock. The camp was having a battle- And I slept through some of it. I looked at why was going on. Some how 5-6 monsters that I couldn't point out right away came in. I frantically searched for Will Solace. I couldn't find him and started to panic. No. Stop panicking. I don't care what happens to him. I ran up to the fight with my dagger drawn when I saw him. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

"Will! What's going on? Why didn't you wake me?" I asked.

"Well you looked so cu-peaceful in your sleep I didn't want to wake you. And you need rest not a fight. Oh and for some reason unknown a few monsters came to camp. We were doing good- but one of them breathes fire and you know. A lot of people are getting hurt." He said. The last part about fire breathing we all knew. We needed Leo but he's dead- I think.

"I can get us more warriors hold on" I closed my eyes only to be grabbed by Will.

"NO. NO UNDERWORLD STUFF DOCTORS ORDERS!" He screamed. I didn't want to disobey Will or almost die but the camp needed me.

"I'm sorry Will. We need it. I'll be okay I promise." I looked at him focused and raised an army or skeletons. Suddenly I felt weak really weak and Will had to catch me.

"Nico... No! Don't pass out! I'll be here when you wake up I promise. I promise I won't let you die. I promise Nico."I barely heard him say it while looking into his eyes. And then everything went black.
