Chapter 4

Midnight's Pov

Cherry started walking her paw steps way larger than my small paws as i walked alongside her. Our walking speeds diffrent.
Her speed way slower than myself as i had to walk faster to keep up. I can tell we are trying to get to a safer distance. Cherry chattered on talking about the purple one. Aparently it's name was karma and it was cherries sister
I barely listened only taking in half of the information as the soft rattle of cherries bones was heard.
We slowly moved onto a more lush grassy area with more trees. It wasnt green like a normal forest.
It was all darkened. I enjoyed the feeling on my paw pads as i walked with a little more ease as the grass was not as harsh as the stone was. I felt the strong need for water as i realised how thirsty i was.
"Hey... uh... do you have any idea where any water may be?" I asked looking up at cherry
"Yes! Of course! There is actually a small pond not far from here. I'll take you!" She responded enthusiastically.
'How the hell is someone this happy?'
After a bit of walking the trees started to part.
And there lay a dark pool the blood red sky loomed above giving it a creepy aura. I walked up to it not caring and started gulping down water. Savoring every little drop that went in my mouth. Cherry watched, sitted down nearby as i stood up and drew my tongue across my lips. Dispite the dark sky the moon started to glow brightly.
I dragged myself to cherry and layed down with my paws under my body. I cuddled up to her fur feeling warmth and started to purr.
She wrapped her tail around me slightly from behind. She gazed up at the moon.
