brand new start

Rachel berry woke up that  morning her head was pounding she had never drunk so much in her life. Then again she had never found herself at a new year's eve party with as much alcohol has the party last night had.

Rachel hadn't been looking forward the new year what with finn passing away her losing her role as fanny in funny girl. Not to mentionnhavi g quit nyada and her epic TV flop. She was in some ways glad the year fromhell was over but she was so worried about her future it felt almost like as the new year dawned she was faced with the utter mess of her life she had made.

She slowly tried to open her eyes the pounding in her head made her close them again. She felt arms wrap around her perhaps that was the biggest surprise of all.

She had gone back to Lima for Christmas with her dads but they had got on at her about the state of her career on the morning of new year's eve. So she had gotten out of the house and bumped into Thad harwood. He had seen Rachel looki g upset and asked if she needed anything she surprised herself by telling him everything that was wrong and how her dads seemed disappointed in her.

He told her that sebastian was throwing a party as his parents were outmof town and that he was sure sebastian wouldn't mind her going. He told that their would bother girls there and Rachel decided it would be more fun than staying home and being further bombarded by plans and questions by her dads so she had agreed.

She had arrived at the party and found all the warblers welcoming and the host sebastian had seemed delighted she was their they had laughed and danced and even kissed as the new year dawned. The party went on until 4am Rachel couldn't remember ever laughing so much.

Niw as she laid their she felt sebastian tighten his arms around her. Yes she had slept in his bed but it was not a one night stand as nothing more than cuddling and a few kisses had happened.

As Rachel laid their with his arms around her she felt something she couldn't ever remember feeling she felt she was where she was meant to be she felt so comfortable and safe in his arms.

" morning" he said he sounded like he was suffering a pounding hangover too.

" morning" she said.

" did you enjoy the party " he asked

" very much did you" she said.

" I did especially you being there" he said.

" you certainly know how to throw a party" Rachel said smiling at what he had said.

" I have had a lot of practice at throwing parties my dorm has been party  central for the past two years" he chuckled.

" I can believe that" she said.

" I have to admit I'm enjoying this right now holding you in my arms" he said.

" I'm enjoying  been in them" she said hoping she wasnt blushing to bad her eyes were still closed so she had no idea if he was looking at her or not.

" I'm glad you are I gotta say I think is my fravorite start to a new year ever" he said and Rachel felt him snuggle up to her resting his head into her shoulder and gently he kissed her neck.

" I was dreading the new year but I'm feeling alot better about it now" she admitted.

" do you have plans today" he asked before kissing her neck again.

" no do you" she asked

" I didnt but I wouldn't mind playing here with you for the day" he said she opened her eyes to see him looking at her a smile on his face as her eyes met his they both leaned and kissed.

They remained in bed most of the day only getting up for food or to use the bathroom. They kissed snuggled and watch tv both feeling a comfort they had lacked their entire life.

What Rachel and sebastian didnt know that day was that this would be their tradition for many new years days to come. Until they would start their family then it would be a family day.
