the invitation

Rachel berry was sat by herself at the lima bean trying to hold in her tears. She and finn broke up last week and he is already back with quinn.

"Rachel" she hears a voice say and turns to see trent looking at her with an expression of concern on his face.

" hey" she said as trent sat down.

"Tell me what has made the one and only rachel berry cry" trent asked.

"Finn has already moved on i feel like i meant nothing to him" rachel said.

"Oh... rachel you are the most amazing girl i know if finn has moved on its his loss not yours and if you must kniw today is my birthday..." trent was saying.

"Happy birthday " she said.

"Thank you i am going out celebrating why dont you come it will do you good" trent asked.

"Not sure im in the mood to party" rachel said.

"Which is exactly why you should come plus im the birthday boy and the thought of attending my party with the living legend that is you rachel berry is exciting" trent said Rachel smiled.

"Ok" she said.

"Great i will pick you up at seven in a cab im drinking tonight i want to enjoy myself.... if you want you can stay at dalton tonight i have a very nice tub of ice cream for when we get back tonight" trent said.

" sounds good" rachel said.

Later

Rachel and trent pulled up putside scandels gat bar which was the only bar in the area that seemedto have no problem letting underage teenagers in.

They had dropped off her overnight bag at dalton on the way.

Rachel was feeling alittle anxious now because she had only ever hung out with the warblers with blaine and kurt before.

" can i just say rachel you look absolutely beautiful" trent said before linking her arm and walking her into the club.

"Id" the bouncer asked rachel panicked as she didnt have a fake id but trent merely pulled out two ids. The guy checked them and let them in.

" how..." rachel started to ask.

"Sebastian comes in handy" trent said as they walked into the bar area.

" talking about me eh good good" Sebastian said arriving next to them holding two cocktails which he handed to them.

"Thank you" Rachel said.

"Your welcome i gotta admit im kind of curious to see what your like drunk" Sebastian said.

" thanks for the id" she said.

" no worries" he said

"Hey" thad said arriving next to Sebastian.

"Hey" rachel said.

"  trent called us all into the warbler room and told us all we had to be on our best behavior because you were attending tonight" thad said

" oh" rachel said looking at trent.

" he looked at me when he said best behaviour" Sebastian said.

"It might be my special day but i want rachel to enjoy herself" trent said leading her away from Sebastian and thad.

" if seb gives you any grief let me know... though i doubt he will" trent said rachel was alittle confused by that comment.

" nick... jeff" trent said calling them over after spotting them in the crowd.

" hey... hello rachel" nick said jeff just smiled at her then blushed.

" hi" she said to both of them.

" so how is the cocktail" Sebastian asked appearing next to her.

" its great" she said.

" ok rach as the birthday boy i insist we dance" trent said taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor.

They began to dance to despatico.

" so looks like a particular warbler doesnt like other warblers to talk to you" trent said.

" what" rachel said.

"Sebastian... i noticed him glare at thad when he came over to talk and he all but ran when nick and jeff spoke to you" trent said.

" think the cocktail has gone to your head there is no way Sebastian would want me" rachel said. She saw trent look past her.

" what makes you think that" Sebastian said from behind her.

"Oh wes is calling me over" trent said and disappeared through the crowd.

Rachel turned to face Sebastian.

" so i will ask again why doyou think i wouldnt want you" Sebastian asked.

"Because your gay" she said.

" damn kurt just because im so pretty he assumed i was gay" he said.

"Your not" she asked.

" kiss me and i will prove it to you" he said.

" even so a guy like you wouldn't want..." rachel started to say.

" a guy like me gorgeous sexy talented wouldnt  want a girl like you gorgeous sexy talented. See i think your wrong rachel because i think we are not so different. I do want you why do you think i tuck it upon myself to get you a fake id. I did that because i wanted you here." Sebastian said.

" finn and i just broke up..." she started to say but stopped given Sebastian was smirking and chuckling at her.

" why is that funny" she asked.

" It's funny because i dont see what you had with finn as a relationship he was always going back to quinn. What im trying to say is i think its time you experienced a proper relationship. I want you to know that if you give me a chance i would not cheat on you. Alli want to do is mke you feel as special as you are" Sebastian said rachel felt a hand on her arm and turned to see trent.

"Kiss him" trent said

" i do believe  the birthday boy has spoken" Sebastian said and wrapped hia arms around her waist and kissed her.

" yay" she heard trent say.

" you were right trent" she heard thad say as they broke the kiss.

" what do you mean" rachel asked feeling embarrassed given all the warblers were now stood watching Sebastian cuddle up to her.

" trent told us weeks ago he suspected Sebastian liked you and when he invited you tonight he told us he planned to get you guys to kiss by midnight" thad said.

" what can i say rach while on the quest for my mr perfect i helped you find yours" trent said.

" that si really very sweet but would you guys  mind getting lost for a while" Sebastian said before kissing  her again.

What rachel didnt know was just how life changing that night was going to be because six years later her and Sebastian would be married.  Trent had been right Sebastian smythe was definitely her mr perfect.
