jeongguk's hands are trembling.

it has been a few days after they made an agreement, and despite jeongguk constantly reassuring jimin that he was positive over his decision, jimin still sensed the hesitancy that coursed through him. jeongguk didn't deny it, he himself knew losing his virginity was not a simple arrangement--  not a possession he could quickly hand over. he wasn't goddamn doctor strange with the time stone from the mcu!

but he knew well, that he was not afraid of trusting jimin, he was afraid of not being enough.

jimin claimed it was something about his "ability to detect how someone is feeling by their scent." it was a result of how his dynamic worked. and according to jimin, it wasn't a very big deal. but to jeongguk, he knew deep inside it wasn't an easy matter to brush off. it was clearly lot more complex than that and he had a lot more to learn about. . . jimin's kind and. . jimin himself.

speaking of dynamics, jimin talked to him about what he was getting himself into, the quirks of being an alpha. jimin was patient enough to briefly explain about his occasional changes in personality; such as appearance of constant overprotectiveness and possible times where his instincts would cause him to get aggressive. aside from that, he was also educated a bit about scenting-- a way where alphas or omegas signify someone as theirs (territory in other words,) but also to show comfort to either the members of their pack or their mates. their base scent will always be ever present, as they will portray how the wolf is feeling; such as enhancement of scent to showcase happiness or pleasure. scenting is basically rubbing the other's scent glands (normally found in the neck) on a partner to mark.

and of course, jimin had explained. . . his rut. with constant consoling from the younger, he had managed to coax jimin to speak his mind, whatever it may be. and right after, he found out why jimin was so uncomfortable talking about said topic. he had mentioned about it being different, his tone climbing to something doubtful. he mentioned a part of his biology called knotting. and let's just say, it made jeongguk nervous.

despite not yet losing his v-card, he couldn't even visualize somebody else- someone that wasn't him helping jimin throughout it when he was right there! and the image of jimin hurting and spending his rut alone set goosebumps to rise up on his skin and cause the gut-wrenching feeling in his stomach to return. jimin was his puppy, well- wolf, and along that his responsibility. (the mere thought of somebody else by jimin's side made him want to throw up, but he wouldn't admit that.)

jimin's reassuring smile, his soothing voice is still echoing in his head; "i promise, i'll make it hurt less as much as i can!" he was the one struggling yet he still put jeongguk's safety as his number one priority-- and it made it even more clear, jimin was nothing but pure-hearted, caring. he was a whole ass sweetheart. you could probably cut him open and all you'll see are cotton candy and teddy bears. jeongguk didn't know why his heart pounded so quickly, as if it was going to jump out of his chest. . . the feeling felt so foreign to him. but oddly, he liked it.

the younger was not sure of how he's gonna explain, "yeah okay, i'm going to experience being stuck to my supposedly puppy dog for a long period of time and have an abnormally sized-dick inside me that's going to hurt like hell, but it'd be easier to endure that rather than imagining you locking yourself in a room, alone-- while going through physical and emotional abuse for god knows how long." to jimin.

besides that, jeongguk's grateful jimin had the courage and trust to tell all this information to him, despite their present differences in biology. their physical attributes weren't so far apart, but again, there is more than what meets the eye. the only physical differences are jimin's wolf ears that jeongguk found himself to like very much. (jimin let him scratch specifically only the other one a lot, but he still wouldn't allow or explain why.)
