Author has something to say: If you just opened this, I want to say a short thank you for giving me some face! Update time is not scheduled as I am not taking this as a serious web novel. Anyways I'm going to shut up now. Enjoy.

The examination room was quiet. Sunlight from the vast windows trickled in and touched the backs and bare necks of many students.

Warm...

Only the sound of scribbling and nervous clicking of ink pens could be heard. It was accompanied by the flicking of test sheets and crinkling of new but wrinkled paper.
A member of the school staff surveilled these youths at the front of the classroom, and with one leg over the other he sat behind the table while reading a novel leisurely.

The sunlight which warmed up the heads of these students began to fade. It marked the end of this day, this school year, and most of all, the students' relief and anticipation to rush out of their classrooms and celebrate the afternoon.

It was May, but summer had already made its presence.
Everywhere one goes, there were cicadas chirping away in oak trees. Melting ice creams were used to battle the burning hot days while breezy summer nights were used as a perfect time for dates at roadside barbecue stores.

That very day was the last one of its kind. Bittersweet, guilty pleasure. Happiness was back then gained from slacking off in class - playing games on phones when the teacher was not looking or writing stupid jokes on notes passed from friend to friend.
But after the holidays, harder work had to be done in order to achieve great ambitions.

And yet ... some people choose to live their life adventurously like a fictional character from a fantasy book.

Lang Yin leaned back as if he was stretching his arms. He had started studying the teacher five minutes ago, when he finished answering his test paper questions. Professor Luo, the staff who looked after this examination class, checked on these students after every two double sides he had read.

More so, this class contained about thirty or so students, and Lang Yin and his three other companions sat at the back, hidden by many heads.

He then proceeded to wave a piece of paper no bigger than his thumb to his friend who sat right behind him and waited.
Do you want it or not, he thought as he turned his head just enough to catch sight of Wang ShengMing passed out on his desk, a pen still held in his hand.
Lang Yin gave out a small sigh. Wang ShengMing couldn't answer any questions so he gave up and fell asleep out of boredom. Or hopelessness.

Naturally, Lang Yin flicked his pen off the table. With a loud "clack", the tip of the pen hit the floor and broke the silence in the examination room.
A fairly realistic grunt escaped from Lang Yin's mouth, and a few students turned their heads ever so slightly to peek at the "black nail varnish-wearing psychopath".
God knows what he was trying to do this time?

The students in this examination room took tests together as their scores were similar. Therefore, they knew that this four-eyed, problematic idiot had always stirred up trouble during exams.

Lan Yin glanced at Professor Luo. The sunlight reflected off the spectacles which the teacher wore so that Lan Yin could not make out which direction he was looking.

Slowly, he bent his back to pick up the pen, but he had flicked it hard enough so that when it fell he could not reach it if he still sat on his seat.
He pushed back his seat which crashed loudly onto Wang ShengMing's desk, waking him up in surprise.
Now a lot of eyes were on the boy.
Wang ShengMing looked up, dumbfounded, to catch Lan Yin's eye contact before quickly looking elsewhere.

After Lan Yin had retrieved his ink pen, a girl from the same row in which he sat gave out a snort. She was pretty, but had a short haircut and one would have thought that she was pretending to be a boy. It was obvious that she was trying to cover up her laugh with a genuine cough, but apparently the situation was too funny to bare.

A voice came from the front of the room. 'Xu Xia, Lang Yin. Sit down and go over your tests. You have ten minutes left.'

A small gasp escaped from some idiot behind Lan Yin. Wang ShengMing was probably shocked at the fact that there were only ten minutes left, so Lan Yin stretched his arm underneath his bro's desk to pass him the answers.

Sadly Wang ShengMing's gateway to heaven was slammed shut when Professor Luo rhetorically asked, 'What are you two doing?'

The answer came out of Wang ShengMing's mouth innocently. 'We are holding hands, Professor Luo.'

Lang Yin also had his part to act: 'Can we not hold hands?'

Professor Luo's face turned bright pink, either from anger or the youths' shamelessness. It was probably both.

Xu Xia and a student sat in front of her entered a laughing fit. A few of the other students also tried to hide their smiles.
If possible, Professor Luo's face turned even a brighter shade of red. He had already ditched reading his beloved novel and is stood up at the front desk.

The whole class: '...'

Finally with an enraged voice the professor pointed at the door with one finger and shouted, 'Lan Yin, Wang ShengMing, Xu Xia, Sen RenLan! Go stand outside until the end of the test!'

Sen RenLan, the student sat in front of Xu Xia, was shocked. 'Why am I part of this?'

Professor Luo: 'Get out!'
