Author has something to say: I originally wrote up to 6 chapters already but I was not happy with the word flow and the order in which things happened. So here I am, writing it again. Gonna spent my nights scribbling in my crappy notebook!! ( ̄▽ ̄"")
Also I write a Chinese version of this! No idea where to upload it to... The characters I write, I am more familiar to them in Chinese. English stories sound like essays! While Chinese is heartwarming and telling aaaaaa idk what to do...

...

The hallway was rather quiet as the whole year was taking their last-day exams. It was stuffy. There were only air cons in the classrooms. The smell of lemon scented cleaning detergent drifted in the air.

The four students stood lined by the wall, just next to the classroom window which faced the hallway where they were standing.
'...'
'Hahahaha, why is it always us?'
Three heads turned towards Sen RenLan.
Wang ShengMing: 'The teachers hates us. We have a special place in this year.'
Xu Xia: 'I think that's only you.'
'...'

Time was passing very slowly. But with the company of friends, it was just a little bit faster. Everyone was comfortable with the silence, and it was so quiet all they heard was the clock ticking away at the end of the hallway.

Lang Yin: 'So, what are you guys doing this afternoon?'
Xu Xia replied with a fed up voice: 'Well, it looks like we'll probably be kept in until six, so I don't know.'
Lang Yin: 'If ShengMing-Ge wasn't so stupid, we wouldn't have been here.'
Wang ShengMing: 'We got caught either way...'
Sen RenLan: 'I think that what Lang Yin wanted to say was, that if you weren't so stupid, we wouldn't have been passing answers.'
Wang ShengMing: '...'

After a few more minutes of conversation, the anticipated school bell finally rang. Lang Yin looked inside the classroom window. 'Ah. He's coming out.'
The four stood up straight. Within a flood of students, Professor Luo was pushed out of the examination room. He stood in front of the four. 'Come to the staffroom with me,' he said with a stern face.

A sun-bathed office was what the youths entered. A few teachers sat here and there, already marking the tests handed in by the students. Papers were strewn everywhere as if there had been a typhoon. Professor Luo led the four students to his desk, and there he sat next to it on a leather armchair. He looked up at them and raised one of his slender eyebrows. 'I assume you know why you are here.'

Sen RenLan: 'I know why they are here, but I don't know why I am... I was only laughing...'
Professor Luo: '...'
'Stop pretending you don't understand the situation,' he raised as hand and pointed at the teenagers. 'You four are well known amongst the teachers for causing trouble. Cheating during tests, passing notes in class, picking up fights with other students... Do you think you could live like this forever?'

All the teachers in the staff room turned their heads slightly to watch Professor Luo's rampage. Some even stood up and left the staff room.

Professor Luo: 'You are growing up. You have responsibilities-'

'We are very sorry, Professor Luo,' Wang ShengMing interrupted the professor. His friends glared at him with wide eyes. Xu Xia shook her head frantically to warn him to shut up.

Wang ShengMing: '... If you are not happy, then that is too bad. You're not even our homeroom tutor, nor do you teach us in any class. I don't see why it's any of your business.'

Xu Xia: '...'
Sen RenLan: '...'
Lang Yin: '...'
Professor Luo: '...'

...

'Thanks for getting us detention for two months, bastard.' Xu Xia said with a smile on her face. The four students headed down the staircases to pack their belongings up in the dormitories.

After Wang ShengMing's mistake, Professor Luo gave an hour-long lecture about basic politeness to teachers and other students. They originally received only a month of detention for cheating in exams, but thanks to their lovely Wang ShengMing, the penalty was doubled.

As they walked outside, Sen RenLan raised his hand to block out the sunlight from above and looked at the time on his phone. 'It's already half past six.'

Lang Yin: 'Let's go eat barbecue later!'
Xu Xia: 'Let's eat barbecue... I want to forget about this damned day.'
