Same night
Leigh-Anne's phone rings as we sit in silence, listening to Perrie's quiet sobs. She picks up the phone, motions to Jesy, and they both leave the hotel room, closing the door behind them. I guess it had something to do with a party they were going to with mutual friends.
I hear Perrie shift in her bed and stand up. I turn around.
"I thought you guys left.." she said, turning back to her bed.
"No, wait!" I blurted. Ugh smart move Jade. Now you seem desperate. I shake the thoughts from my head as I see Perrie look at me.
"Well?" she says.
"I.." I begin. I take a deep breath. "I'm sorry Perrie. For all of this. And that we're not here for you as we should be. I know you're probably mad at us and..."
"No, oh no no Jeed," Perrie says, stepping towards me. "You have it all wrong, I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at any of you. You guys are being so sweet to me and I don't deserve it. I don't deserve it at all. It's, it's all my fault. I'm being stupid..." She bursts into tears.
My eyes burn with tears as I look into her blue ones. "Perrie..."
"He knew me, intimately. I loved him," she said softly. She closed her eyes and her body shook with silent sobs. I step forward, and she opens her eyes and looks at me.
"Jeed, I...."
"Hey guys do you..." Jesy says as she barges through the door. Perrie glances up and wipes her tears. "Sorry," she whispers to me. She walks over to Leigh and Jesy and begins to talk to them. I sit on the bed, silently thinking about what she would've said had we not been interrupted.
August 19
Leigh, Jesy, Perrie and I are on stage performing "The End" from our new album for our fans. As we were singing, I noticed Perrie's eyes were watering a little. I keep checking in on her but she's well into her verse and she's doing well.
"The way I used to do," Perrie sings. "But lov..." Her voice breaks as her tears pool over. I hear some fans gasp. "Isn't fair," she whispers. We immediately crowd her in a hug as she sobs. I talk to the audience, hoping they'd understand. I knew they would, I love my Mixers, but my heart just breaks for Perrie.
"Perrie you're amazing," "I love you," Jesy, Leigh-Anne and I repeat. The fans began to say "We love you Perrie!" as well. I wipe the tears from her as Jesy begins to talk to the crowd.
"It's been a long day, and we've had no sleep... it's very emotional today."
Leigh and I split from Perrie as she fans her eyes, I see blush raise in her cheeks, as she was a little embarrassed.
"We love you Perrie!" a fan exclaims. I raise my arms in a cheer and smile, Perrie raises her arms as well, faking enthusiasm, as she looks towards the floor. I can't have her heart break like this. I just can't.
