"Here we are; home sweet home!" Hizashi announced, placing the open bag on his living room floor.
Shota cautiously climbed out of the bag, observing his surroundings.
It was quite... Plain for someone as flamboyant like Hizashi; like something directly out of a modern home-store.

"I'm surprised you haven't acted hostile yet, most cats get antsy by the first two miles."
Hizashi laughed, taking off his shoes.

'Did I really just allow myself to get toted around for over 2 miles?'
Shota was just about ready to start slamming his head into the wooden floors and never stop.
He wasn't expecting it when he was abruptly picked up to be face to face with Hizashi, eyes glowing with purity.
"You must really like me, huh?"
The blonde smiled.

That's it.
That was Shota's breaking point.
He didn't know how, but he was getting out and home to figure this out.
His parents would understand, right?
They wouldn't let their allergies-the reason why he couldn't have a cat in the first place- cloud their judgement, would they?

He began to squirm out of Hizashi's grasp, trying to get on solid ground again.
"Hang on, bud. Just a little bath and meal won't do you any harm."
He took no notice.

Shota wasn't even given time to think; Hizashi immediately carried him to his bathroom, locking the door behind him.

To someone who was in the body of a cat without anyone's knowledge, this was terrifying.

Shota began scurrying around in circles, exclaiming in incomprehensible noises and even scraping at the door.

"Come on, buddy. This could've been avoided you'd groomed yourself well."
Hizashi said as he raised Shota over the side of the tub.

'Grooming?'
Shota genuinely hadn't thought of this as means for escape. He looked down at his mass of dark, untamed fur. He'd been laying in the grass for God knows how long.
Grooming himself right now, would be the equivalent of licking a lawn.
...
Nope.
Nada.
No way.
He was going to die of embarrassment before his tongue touched any part of his furry body.

Hizashi turned the faucet, placing his wrist beneath the water until he felt the temperature get hotter.
He lathered the surface of Shota's fur, watching out for his nose and eyes.
'Those eyes,' Hizashi thought,
'They look a lot like...'

"You remind me of him."

Shota looked directly at Hizashi, confused as to what he could possibly mean.

"This guy at my school. He doesn't have any friends, for some reason. I think he's really cool, but he's always either brushing me off or sitting all alone. I never understand why, since I just want to talk to him..."
Hizashi sighed,
"...And he's pretty hot, too."
He pouted.

Shota felt his soul separate from that cat body right then and there.

Did this dummy, have a crush on him?

Shota didn't even think. Hell, it's still a mystery if there was anything going through his mind when he did what he did.
The black cat propped his front legs on the side of the tub and stretched his hind legs until he was close enough to Hizashi's lips; to place a soft, tender kiss.

Shota was never one to handle compliments well, since he was excessively introverted all his life.
This could have been one of those 'spur of the moment choices' that simply turned out for the better-but it felt right.

For once, Shota didn't think this through, seeing only then and there. Who he was with. Why he was with them.
And why he let this loud-ass weirdo carry him around like a doll.
It was all because, strangely enough, he enjoyed this person's company- and apparently the feelings were mutual.

When he pulled away from the kiss, Shota looked down to reveal a naked body.
A human naked body.
Hizashi had noticed just about the same time, causing them to both mumble an awkward "Oh," in unison.

Hizashi was the first to exclaim,
"HYEEEEEE! It's you! Where did you come from? Wait! Where'd the cat go?" He began frantically searching all over the bathroom in hopes of finding the cat.
Shota grabbed to towel from the side of the tub that Hizashi was going to dry him with, tying it around his waist.

He held Hizashi by his shoulders, making direct eye contact for the first time(as a human),
"T-This is gonna sound weird but..."

"So... The cat... Was you..."
Hizashi murmured.
Shota nodded.

They were both leaned against Hizashi's bathtub, Shota having to get comfortable to explain what had just happened.

"So, in essence, I s-said all of that embarrassing stuff... T-To you..." He flushed.

"I should be the embarrassed one, dammit."
Shota stated.
Hizashi laughed.
"That's fair..."

He turned to face the dark-haired teen,
"Can I... Kiss you again?"

Shota's complexion became six shades redder at the question.
"So blunt..."
He diverted his eyes,
"Whatever."
He mumbled.

Hizashi chuckled before placing a hand on the back of Shota's neck, bringing his face closer.

He still wasn't so sure why he'd been so drawn to this person.
Perhaps it was out of mere curiosity, since Shota was the the only person who'd never openly talked to him.

Whatever this entire incident was caused by, quirk or no quirk, Hizashi was grateful for it.

He didn't know anything significant about Shota, yet he was willing lay down his life-his only life-to defend him.
It was just his nature.
