Chapter Four: Family Gathering

It's been 2 weeks, since me and Georgy broke up. I don't know what to do and who to talk to. Micheal has been really busy lately. He is after all the only one who understand's me. I can't wait to see him and his new girlfriend. My mother's coming back from her business trip next week, and she invited everyone to a little gathering. Just to know what's going on with our lives. Donald is going to be there with rich, Lily is going to be there with Georgy obviously. Micheal with his new girlfriend. My big brother is a kind-hearted man, and his really understanding. I love him to death. His been single for a long time and everytime he calls me, we end it talking about his new girlfriend. Not that I really care about this chick. Seems like another girl who's feelings are bound to be crushed by this family. 

But my Big brother is different. I sat in my room, wondering what to do with myself. Beep!! my computer ringed. You have a video chat request. I clicked accept, knowing who it was. The screen color changed as Vladimir's face lighten up my day. Hey sugar-baby what's up, he said to me with the biggest smile on his face. I look like I was dead, but I was happy to hear form him. I've known vlad since we were in kindergarden. His not my best friend anymore, his my brother. I tell him everything. I'm guessing the reason he called was because I left him a message last night ,about what happened. I'm doing good Vlad, times are hitting me hard, but i'm doing good. I said back to him. 

Yeah, I heard your little message. What's the point of going after these guys Lola? They are not good for you. He said to me seriously. I know, peach. I said to him chidlishly. Peach? I haven't that in a long time. He said. No kidding, you haven't called me sugar-baby since 5th grade. I responded. I only called you that, because that's all you ever ate. If it didn't have sugar, it was not eating by you. You were so chubby and cute. He went on and on. I remember that time, when you were trying to pick up that pencil off the floor, you bent down and went for it, I bet you regreted that. After all those jeans were your favorites. He started laughing. Yeah yeah yeah, you never forget do you? It was a really long time ago. I'm not that big anymore. But  did I hear you call me cute? I asked.

Yeah, well it was an old crush I had on you. I never told you, because you would be either drooling over someone that was interested in your sister or a guy of the MM (male model) magazines. He said still laughing. Yeah it was real fun back then with you and Adrianna. Whatever happened to her anyways. I lost contact with her after 8th grade. I asked suspiciously. Oh you didn't hear, she's happily married now, well it was a shotugn wedding. Jerry knocked her up, and she forced him to marry her by law. Vladimir said while smiling his heart out. His always laughing or smiling. Way to go Mary, she always said , if she didn't find the perfect husband, she would force her way in to having one. I guess her dream came true. I said with a smile on my face

Hey, Vlad my mother is having a family gathering and everybody has somebody, would you like to come with me as my company? I'm not asking for you to be my date, but my friend at that party. Because-. Before I could finish my sentence, Vlad said yes. I was happy that he said yes, but I hope he don't misunderstand the situation. I don't want to date him, I just want to be there with him. The last thing I need is another man cheating on me. I love Vladimir, his my best friend, but man, can the guy cheat on a women. A typical player if you ask me. Sugar-baby are you alright? vlad said, while I was dazed out. I'm fine, just deep in thought. I responded. You know lola, you've really changed. He said. I know vlad. I said back 

a week later...

I can't believe that boy is gay, I thought he liked thick girls. said a women at the family gathering. OM goodness Lola, my baby how have you been girl? said mommy, once Vladimir and I entered the house. Hey mom, how are you? I said. She knew by my voice and my reply that something was wrong, even though I tried to hide it. Are you pregnant? She asked looking unworried. No, no no i'm not pregnant, i'm just tired. I responded. After everyone arrived, all the strangers left. Me, Vladimir, Donald, Richard, Lily, George, Micheal, Chanel and mom were left at the dinner table. Well, Lola how are things. Asked Micheal. UM, pretty good. I send out a letter to this writing company and I got the job. I'm a writer at, FIW . I said loud and proud. 

Wow you actually made it in, i'm proud of you sweetie, you've been dreaming about working there, since you were 10 years old. Mother said to me. The table got  quiet. Real quiet. I could here a pen drop. It didn't use to be like that. well, Um ladies, gentlemens, and gays, this is my girlfriend/fiance Chanel. Micheal said trying to break the silence. Wow Fiance huh? Nice, Vlad said to him. Hi everyone I'm chanel. The fiance said. Chanel? As in Chanel Palvins. Donald asked? Yeah, how did you know. She said curiously. I guessed.  Dolnald said back. What happened, last time I saw you guys, you were in high school. I know I haven't been around much, but i'm here now and let me tell you I got off by chance. Mom said, waiting for an answer from me. 

Now that i'm remembering, I haven't seen her in a long time, I mean we video chat and talk on the phone, but ever since dad die, I haven't seen her. We barely saw dad, because of work, now we don't see mom anymore. As I remember all that has happened before and after the funeral, my life has been pretty rough lately. I started to cry. So I wanted to be the one to fill her in. Um, I went to that party, Richald was trowing a few years back, and we got drunk. The Jocks back then, druged the drinks. We had to much to drink, so we did it with one of our proffesors. I got pregnant, spoiled brat here, payed to abort the child without my permition. I didn't lose the weight either. He paid a surgeon to do plastic surgeries on me. I realize, as im telling this story, george looked surprised. He didn't know.

Dad came to the hospital and you know he had heart problems already. When he found out what had happened to me, he had a heart attack. I cried even more. I got over it. I promised myself, I would never come back.  So I went to live with Lily in Florida. I went to college, I attended harvard university. Thanks to you mom. Then Lily here introduced me to George. Which by the way was her ex. Big sister here, was making sure, that I wasn't lonely so she fixed me up with him. Out of jealousy that is. Me and Georgy just happen to fall for each other. Well I did. Then we went to a trip in Hawaii, and I found then kissing on my bed, in my room. The room that I played for. I cried after I said that. So when you come here after all that time and you pretend to be our mom, you seem really pathetic. I said to her. 

Excuse me young lady, now I have been working my ass of, for all of you. She said. WORKING? YOU KNOW I HEARD YOU MET A GUY WHILE WORKING, WHAT, YOU WEREN'T READY TO COME BACK SINGLE? DON'T YOU DARE ASK WHAT'S WRONG. yOUR WHAT'S WRONG. I cried even louder. If I had a mother to talk to and get advice from  every now and then, I wouldn't be like this. My sister wouldn't be screwing my boyfriend, mother, My brother's stupid boyfriend wouldn't have fucked me up so hard that I got pregnant. You were there, weren't you. The day after that party. You left. You didn't even come back for dad's funeral. I left the dinner table. You aborted the child? Donald said to Rich in schocked. Vladimir ran after me. I'm done with everyone.
