Ch. 6

When I wake up I see he's on my phone looking at my messages.

"What are you doing" I ask groggy like.

"I see nicks been taking care of you" he says still reading the messages.
"Whos this Connor dude" he asks.

"He's nicks roommate" I tell him truthfully.

"Why do you have his number" he asks sounding frustrated.

"In case I can't reach nick" I reply lying.

"Ok I'm gonna have to talk to nick" he says getting up and getting dressed.

"Where are you going" I ask.

"To talk to nick lets see if a broken nose will keep him away from you and maybe the Connor dude will get the message" he says.

When he leaves I quickly get dressed just throwing my short pj shorts on and a tank top I put my boots on and jump on my bike. Speeding off kicking up rocks I head down the road going as fast as I can when I swerve in between cars at a red light I pass jace right when the light turns green.

As I pull up to the dorms I rush up stairs pounding on the door nick answers as I shove him in he looks startled.

"Jace is here" I say and nick doesn't look worried.

"He read my text messages with you and connors gotta hide cause he's gonna hurt him to" I says then there's a knock at the door and we're silent.

"I can handle it grab Connor and get in the closet or something" he instructs me.

So I grab Connor and get in the closet our chests flush against each other Connor begins to ask what's going on when I press my lips to his cutting him off I stay like this for a minute when I hear nick answer the door then a thud I'm sure jace has punched nick hearing him groan I close my eyes. Connor wraps his arms around me engulfing me in a hug ,as I shake each thud I hear I grab Connor tighter he does the same to me.

When we hear the door slam I rush out of the closet to nick who's on the bed holding his nose.

"Are you ok" I ask him.

"I'm fine you should see him" he says smiling and lying at the same time.

"Who was that guy" Connor asks.

"He was my abusive ex" I tell him.

"Can I stay here with y'all tonight" I ask nick.

"Of course princess" he says making me smile.

Even when he feels like shit this boy still try's to make me feel better. "Can we all sleep in the floor I'll sleep between y'all" I ask giving puppy dog eyes.

"Yea sure" nick says rolling his eyes.

As he makes a pilot on the floor I get under the covers nick on my left and Connor on my right.

"Goodnight" I say and they both reply.

When I wake up my head is on Connors chest, when I go to move his arm wraps around me.

"Just a few more minutes Liz you never let me hold you" he murmurs.

"Awe he misses his girlfriend" the little voice in my head says.

When I look up nick is staring at me and I mouth help me. He reaches for my hands and hoists me up quickly which makes me collide with him. His hand rests on my waist and my hands against his chest.

"Couldn't keep your hands off of me could you" he says with a laugh and playing with a strand of my hair.

"As if" I say playfully.

"I guess I gotta go back to the house" I tell him.

"Your always welcome here Eva, I'll come by later to check on you or I might send lover boy there" he says

As I get to my bike I put my helmet on and start up.

"Thank god it's not cold or you would get hypothermia" the little voice in my head says.

When I get to the house I'm surprised that jace ain't there I'm sure he's pissed off enough to wait but I guess I was wrong. When I reach my room I decide to take a shower to wash the remainder of jace off of me.

When I'm finally done I head back to my room, as I enter the room I see Connor on my bed.

"Damn Connor you scared me I almost kicked your ass" I say.

"Sorry I was just going to see if you wanted to come back to the dorm and watch movies" he asks shyly.

"Sure" I say "I haven't been invited to do something like that sense my first date with jace" I tell him.

"Ok I'll let you get dressed" he says and walks out of the room.

I decide to wear a large t shirt that goes to my mid thigh and some shorts and put my hair in a bun.

When we get to the dorm room he sets up his tv.

"Have you ever watched the note book" he asks and I shake my head no.

"Oh we are watching it then" he says with a smile.

We get half way through the movie and I'm already bored.
"I'm not to into chick flicks" I say
"You got anything scary ooo what about that new movie scary stories to tell in the dark" I says grabbing his computer that's hooked to the tv. As I find it I turn it on.

It's around two in the afternoon when we get to the part we're the boy is turning into a scare crow.

"Oh my god why no that's crazy" Connor says covering his mouth as if he can feel the hay coming up his throat.

"That's awesome" I say looking at him we bust out laughing.

As we reach half way point in the movie we have moved from the floor to the bed. I don't know how it happened but he ended up with his arm around my shoulders.

"I can't believe the officer don't believe them" he says.

"Well he hasn't seen anything yet and he doesn't like the one kid cause he's Mexican I guess" I say.

......

"So all she has to do is use her blood to change things in the book" he says in disbelief.

"Lets hope she hurries before that creepy ass thing gets her boyfriend" I say.

........

"That was a stupid ending" he says.

"Well the way it ended maybe there will be a second one" I tell him.

"It was a good movie tho" he says and looks down at me.
