Three Days Later Point of View of Sitara

As I walked out of the forest into the training grounds, I saw Laurent flirting with Stella. I shook my head at sight. He should be with his mate instead of flirting with girls, but he won't change.

When I reached my training group, I set my bag down alongside Bella's as I heard her say, "I wonder how long will it take he would give in and be with Artemis."

"Being hot-headed," I said, "he can probably last months."

They laughed but stopped when they heard Laurent's voice say, "never guess you would call me hot, Star."

I looked at him to see my dad walking behind him, "please, hot will be the last thing I'll call you and the names Sitara."

"Is someone getting mad," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes, "what are you doing here? Your class is over there?"

A light smile went across his face as my dad answered, "Laurent, advance to the next level."

"Guess you're stuck with me, Star."

"Don't let him get under your skin," I said. He wants a reaction.

"Try to keep up, newbie."

"Trust me; I will."

"Since you two like to fight with each other, you guys can be partners for today's lesson," said my dad.

I won't fight back since he would make us all pay the price for questioning and mouthing back to him. I nodded my head yes, agreeing with him, even though I was not too fond of his decision. I smiled slightly as Laurent stood beside me; maybe this won't be bad since I could beat him.

"We will start with our warms up as usual and then run around the border at least six times. After which, you will meet me in the west meadow to continue the rest of the training. Sitara, I expect you to show him the ropes."

"Of course."

"Get to it."

I took a step away from Laurent to look at him as he said, "what know, sensei?"

"First we stretch, and then I'll show you some basic moves."

After stretching, we were the last ones done since someone. I'm not going to say he's name decided to be mouthy and got in trouble by Warrior Galleria due to the basic moves being a waste of time. What he didn't know, she was the one who put the idea into my dad's head about how we needed to make some basic moves in our morning routine.

It helps strengthens our body before actually getting to the more challenging moves. I agree since my body is more sturdy. I can see my dad will punish us when Laurent and I arrive at the west meadow.

As I picked up my speed, leaving Laurent behind, I smelled a strange smell. I slowed down to smell the air to smell five unusual scents coming from behind me to hear a warning bark coming from Laurent.

"Dad, send reinforcements to the Northeast forest. There are unfamiliar scents in the forest."

"On our way."

I ran back to Laurent to see an assassin in the tree. I ran up to him before he got a chance to fire his arrow at Laurent and pushed him off the branch. He has already managed to let go of the arrow. As he fell, he shifted into his wolf.  Once he stood up, I saw three other wolves running by me to get to Laurent. The rogue jumped towards me. As we were fighting, I reached out to my dad through our mind link and yelled, "Dad, they're after Laurent!"

I had an opening to go after the wolf's neck, and I took it. Within three moves, the wolf was dead. I dropped his body and ran to help Laurent see he was fighting off two wolves. Another wolf jumped toward him, but I pushed his body away and went for his neck. Instead of snapping the wolf's neck, I paralyzed him, so we could question him later and went to stand beside Laurent.

I stood a little bit in front of him and growled, "into the portal now," I looked up at the male to see his face, and his scent was covered.

I ran after them to stop as a smoke bomb went off in front of us, releasing a horrible scent. I stopped running, causing Laurent to bump into me. I tried to push him back because the smoke bomb was filled with toxins that could burn someone's eyes. I closed my eyes before I assumed any more of the toxicity.

"Don't open your eyes," I warned Laurent, "the air is filled with toxic particles which can cause harm to your eyes."

"My nose."

"Al-a-zorba," said an unfamiliar voice.

I tried to open my eyes to a blurry version and a girl disappearing into a portal. I couldn't get her scent. My nose was burning.

"Sitara," screamed my dad.

As my eyes started to turn black, my body went numb, causing me to fall to the ground while the darkness consumed me.

A Day and a Half Later in a Hospital Room

Slowly, I opened my eyes to see the twins sitting at the edge of the bed watching Teen Titans Go on Cartoon Network. I closed my eyes as a pounding headache came to me. I brought my right hand up to my forehead and started to rub circles around my temples, trying to reduce the headache.

"Sitara," screamed Dillon.

As they crawled up the bed, not caring if their knees jabbed into my body to hug me, I opened my eyes, ignoring the headache, and smiled at them.

"Hey," I hugged them back as I heard people walking into the room.

"I see someone finally woke up."

I turned my head to my left to see my parents walking up to me, "how long was I asleep?"

"A day and a half."

"Wow, it felt like only hours."

"Doctors said the chemicals hit you the hardest since you shielded Laurent from it."

"We are so proud of you," said my dad, "you were amazing out there."

I smiled at them to see their proud faces, "our sister is a hero," said Dillon.

"That she is," said my mother. I started to yawn, causing my mom to say, "come on, you two, let's leave your sister so she can rest."

"We want to stay here with Sitara."

They hugged me tighter, "it's alright, mom, they can stay."

She nodded her head, agreeing with me, "if you to disturb or make any noses, I'm taking you two home got it."

"Yes, mom," they said at the same time.

Carson rested his head on my chest, and  Dillon rested his head on my stomach. We took a nap together, waking up from my parents talking to the doctor. I could go home today since my body is all rested.

He told me I should stay home for the next two days so my eyes could heal because the bright light can cause headaches or pain to go to my eyeballs.
