PIPER

"Piper!" Her father greeted her warmly, pulling her into a hug. "How are you? How is your new camp going for you?"

"It's awesome." She replied. Her dad turned to Jason who hastily stuck his hand out in greeting.

"Sir. Mr uh, McLean? Hi. I'm-" Jason stuttered. Piper found it amusing that he got all nervous next to her father but could take on a big titan single handedly.

"Jason Grace? Yes, I've heard quite a lot about you." Her dad said, smiling broadly at him. "Come in! Come in!" He said, ushering them both inside the mansion like house.

Piper was suprised, since it was usually one of the workers that opened the door. But after she had informed her dad that she would be visiting home today, he had been the one to do so. And even though it was still the smallest act of recognition, it filled Piper's heart with indescribable warmth.

He sat them down on the armchairs. "Well, Mellie won't be here. Neither would Gleeson. You know she had a baby."

"Oh really?" Piper asked, feigning surprise. She of course had even seen the baby and heard him scream "Die, die!"  in her face.

"Yes. Her's and Gleeson. Named him Chuck." Tristan chuckled. "Quite the child. Anyhow, I gave them some time off."

Piper exchanged smirks with Jason.

"So," Tristan said, looking between the couple. "When did this happen?" He questioned, guesturing at their entwined hands.

"Uh-" Jason started but Piper interrupted him.

"Yesterday." She said, smiling at Jason as she remembered his words from last night.

"From this point on, we're writing our own story, with a fresh start. And we just had our first kiss."

"Yesterday?" Her father asked, surprised. "Well." He chuckled deeply. "My little girl is growing up now, eh? You take care of her Grace." He said looking at Jason sternly though his eyes told a whole new story.

"Will do, Mr McLean." Jason said, smiling at Piper, his glasses glinting in the light.

"Oh please. Call me Tristan. Mr McLean seems too formal. Now, would you like something to eat?"

Camp looked just as it had before when they came back home. It was quiet and the sky was starting to turn a darker colour, different hues of oranges and pinks mixing in like watercolours on a canvas.

Now that the Romans had left, it felt emptier.

Piper was already missing Hazel and Frank. But the person she wanted the most was Leo, her best friend, the one person who could very well be her little annoying brother.

The lights were on inside most of the cabins.

The Aphrodite cabin was currently in a very loud state.

They were talking about something called Percabeth and making a big scrapbook for who knows what. Piper didn't bother asking and seeing as she was growing tired of the new discussion which had arisen about Solangelo she decided to get some fresh air and headed outside. Nobody noticed her leaving or heard the door close softly behind her.

She walked around camp aimlessly, with no particular destination but she found out soon enough where her legs were dragging her when she was standing infront of Cabin 1.

Unconsiously, without putting much thought into it, she knocked on the door.

The door opened swiftly a moment later. Jason smirked upon seeing her.

"Hey." He said pulling her into the cabin.

"How are you doing, Sparky?" Piper asked, sitting down on the bed.

"Sparky?" Jason asked amused.

"Do you want me to call you Air Head instead?" Piper asked.

"Let's stick with Sparky."

Piper glanced around at the many cards spread out on his bed.

"What are these?" She asked, picking one up curiously. It held a picture of a buff dude holding a cyclinderical shape that sparked with electricity. Atbthe bottom of the card it said something about 400 attack points.

"Just this game." Jason said, his ckeeks now slightly tinged in red.

"Uh huh." Piper grinned at him. "How do you play?"

Jason's eyes lit up. "Well..."
