PERCY

The blue door infront of him looked kind of intimidating. It was the only door that was blue in this apartment and it brought back only sweet and happy memories. So he didn't know why he was so hesitant.  Percy exchanged looks with Annabeth. She smiled at him softly.

He slipped his hand into her's where it fit perfectly and having finally mustered up the courage, he knocked on the door.

The faint sound of "I'll get it." and footsteps were heard coming towards them. Then the door flung open.

Percy smirked. "Hey Paul."

"Percy?" His step dad whispered softly. His gaze travelled over to the blonde girl. "Annabeth?"

Percy wrapped his step father in a warm hug who returned it as he cried quietly and unashamedly. Annabeth smiled a reply at him.

"Oh gods." Paul muttered, using the door frame to hold himself up. "Why don't you come in?" He asked weakly.

He closed the door lightly behind them and lead them over to the living room in a trance.

The first thing Percy saw was his mother sprawled on the couch with a cup of tea watching the news.

"Paul, who was it sweety?" She asked, her eyes never leaving the television screen.

Paul's mouth opened up and then closed again, like a fish gasping for breath, just so that his name would fit in perfectly.

Sally turned around cautiously.

Her eyes locked on her son's. Her mug clattered to the floor and broke into tiny pieces, spilling its contents everywhere.

"Hey mum." Percy said nervously.

(I know that Percy's American amd its actually mom but I wrote mom instead of mum in a writing test so I'm gonna stick with mum for my stories. :) or I'll get confused.)

Sally stumbled on to her feet and slowly made her her way towards the couple.

"Percy." She whispered before crushing him in a bone cracking hug.

"Mum- Can't- breathe." Percy whimpered.

Sally pulled away but still held on to him. She looked up with tear stricken eyes and a bright smile lighting up the whole of her face.

"Oh my baby!" She said grasping his cheeks in her hands tenderely. "You're alive!"

She turned and crushed Annabeth in a similar hug, sparing no diferrentiations.

Paul was watching them with a wide smile plastered onto his face, tears still leaking through his eyes.

"I'm so so happy." She sobbed as she let go of Annabeth.

Then her expression turned stern but the twinkle in her eyes gave it away. "Now,  next time you want to go on a date, choose somewhere a little less dramatic. Okay?"

Percy laughed. "Yeah okay. I missed you mum." He pulled her close burrying his face in the crook of her neck.

"I missed you too-" Sally yelped. She grabbed Percy's hand and examined the underside of his forearm. "You got a tatoo!? Out of all the things you could've done in the face of a war, you got a tatoo?! Perseus Jackson, I swear to all the gods-"

She was cut off by Percy and Annabeth burating into laughter. "Don't worry, Sally." Annabeth assured her. "He kind of had to get it."

"You two have a lot of explaining to do." Sally said and sat both the teenagers down on the sofa, pulling Paul onto the spot beside her.

"Okay." Percy started. "Basically, I went into this big slumber and-"

"Let's start before that when Hera the oh so powerful goddess of drama and dissapearances took you away into some wolves and-"

"No. Lets start with 'Basically, I went into this big slumber.'" Percy interrupted with a smile. "So basically, I went into this big slumber and when I woke up I was surrounded by wolves. And I didn't know who I was. It was literally like, I couldn't remember my name kind of memmory loss. I couldn't remember anything." He smiled. "The only thing I could remember was a name. Annabeth Chase-"

They told the whole story. From the Sanoma Wolf House all the way to the Jason hobbling up a hill as a grandpa.

They described all their new friends, that now felt like family. Annabeth had to choke back tears when theybtalked about Leo. They talked about Reyna, Coach Hedge, Nico...

They didn't talk about Nico's secret though, unsure of what he might've wanted. And besides, Percy was still confused anyway.

When Annabeth started to talk about her solo death quest, Percy held her as close to him as possible, scared of loosing her again and Sally had to resist the urge to coo at that them since it probably wasn't the best idea when Annabeth was talking about how she was attacked by a horde of spiders.

The only thing they didn't talk about was their traumitizing fall.

Well, that and the stables scene, even though nothing happened, still...

"And after Annabeth's epic solo quest, well...we-" Percy swallowed. "We went to the house of Hades and- and we closed the doors of death. Then, insert names of monsters here and- stuff. Ya know. The usual life for a hero."
