Lyrics:

I don't fall slow like I used to
I fall straight down
You've stolen my air catcher
All that kept me safe and sound

My parachutes they got me
Safely to ground
But now the cords not working
And I see you staring me down

I won't in love with falling
I will try to avoid those eyes

I think you would beat the moon in a
Pretty contest
And the moon just happened to be the
Very fist thing that I missed

I was doing fine on my own and
There are wasn't much I lacked
But you've stolen my air catcher
And I don't know if I want it back

I won't fall in love with falling
I will try to avoid those eyes

Cause I'm not sure I want to
Give you tools that can destroy my heart

And I just don't say
What you want to hear
So I'll write my fears
And I don't believe
In talking just to breathe
And falling selfishly

I won't fall in
Love with falling
I will try to avoid
Those eyes

But now I'm here to give you words
As tools that can destroy my heart

Talk:
My personal connection to this song happens to do with letting myself drown in the bad things. This might not be the real meaning behind the lyrics but when he says, "I won't fall in love with falling" it reminds me of the times where things got so bad that I was ok with being drowned in my problems. I never let them go and I let them take over me to the point where it felt normal to not be ok. I would "fall in love with falling" because it was easier to surround myself with bad things then push past them and see the good. When he says "I'll give you words as tools that can destroy my heart" it reminded me of being around toxic people, and letting them tear down my self esteem. It also reminded me of some of my current friends, who I wouldn't call toxic, but I always let their words get to me when they don't mean any harm and I get too caught up in what other people say and what they think about me.
