"Can I go out with my friends this weekend?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I said so."

I let out a huff as my younger sister comes down the hall.

"Bye! I'll be back later."

I gape Dad as she walks over to the door.

"She can go out, but I can't?"

He shrugs.

"That is so unfair!"

I exclaim, frustrated.

"Well, life's unfair."

He walks away.

My sister opens up the door again.

"That's why I ask a week in advance."
