I rushed after Zenix. 'Brendan has been shot?!? By who? What was he doing? Why was Zenix with him?' I think, my head filling with questions.

I run as fast as I can and see Garroth zooming past. 'Wow, that boi's FAST.' I think as he disappears through the door to his house.

Zenix and I follow him in where Brendan is laying on Garroth's bed. 'Guess Garroth uses his house to take care of people... how sweet.' I think while catching my breath.

"What happened!?!" asked Garroth.

"We were breaking down the old house when we found a cellar, I went down to investigate when I heard Brendan get shot! I brought him here as fast as I could!" Zenix says quickly, catching his breath afterwards.

'Oh no! Brendan's so nice, why'd this happen... WHO DID THIS TO HIM!!!' I think angrily.

I no longer try to catch my breath, I walk up to the bed and see that Brendan is in great pain. "Do you want your friend to suffer? You can help him..." the voice said.

I pull the arrow out of Brendan and suddenly there is a flash of white light. When the light fades, Brendan's wound is gone. 'What happened?' I think, my eyes wide in fear and relief.

I turn to see everyone staring at me, I look down to see I'm glowing again, but the light is quickly fading. "Y/n? Wh-what did you do?" asks Brendan as he sits up and realizes he is completely healed.

"I have no idea..." I say, holding my hands in front of me.

"That's amazing Y/n, it's like my wound disappeared..." Brendan says, mystified as he looks at where the arrow had punctured his shirt.

Garroth walks up to the bed, next to me, looking at Brendan with what I supposed was disbelief. "How did you do that Y/n?" Garroth asks, looking me in the eye.

"I don't know... one second I see Brendan suffering, the next he's healed." I say with wonder and fear.

"That's incredible..." Garroth mutters.

I notice that Zenix is gone. 'Where'd he go?' I think, turning back to Brendan.

The door slams open as a woman with brown hair and plain features runs in. "Where's that stupid boy??? Brendan? Are you okay?? You don't look like you were shot!" she says in a thick country accent.

Garroth looks over to the woman. "Brendan's fine Donna, thanks to Y/n." he says, nodding towards me.

"Huh? So your the new girl, nice to meet y- wait! How'd you fix Brendan up?!? He's barely got a scratch on 'im!" Donna exclaims.

"I, um.. I-I just... uh-" I stammer.

"Lady Y/n healed him with magicks." Garroth interrupts. (Yes, that's what magic is called)

Donna's eyes widened. "Wow... it's not often you see a magicks user around here... especially one who wants to help." she says sincerely.

"Phoenix Drop will be full of gossip by tonight... Garroth, can I talk to you for a sec?" she asks, motioning for him to come out the door.

Garroth nods and follows her outside. "That went better than expected..." the voice says, I can now tell it belongs to a woman.

"What do you mean?" I ask, forgetting Brendan's presence.

Brendan looked at me, his head tilted in confusion. "What?" he asks.

I turn my attention to him. "S-sorry... just thinking out loud..." I say with a slim smile.

"Ok... well, do you need some help building your house? I don't think I'll be visiting the old lord's house anytime soon." he says awkwardly.

I nod my head, less enthusiastically as I had wanted to. I motion towards the door and Brendan gets up to follow me. I yawn as we walk up the hill and find that my vision is blurring. 'What's going on? Did I not get enough sleep last night?' I think, my eyelids feeling heavy.

"Hmmm... I was hoping this wouldn't happen." the mysterious voice says.

'I guess I'm the only one who can hear you?' I think, hoping the voice can hear my thoughts.

"Correct." the voice says, I try to ask her more questions in my mind, but she doesn't respond.

My breathing gets heavy as we reach the top. Brendan looks back at me and a look of concern crosses his face. "Are you okay Y/n?" he asks.

My eyes threaten to close as my vision hits the ground, everything sideways. "Y/n!! Garroth, help!!!" Brendan yells as he rushes to my side.

Then, everything goes black.
