[ 3rd person pov ]

after checking that jisung was a few metres away from them as he made his way to the restroom, minho looked at his other friends, and started, "sorry guys, for interrupting the study session, but i just wanted to tell you guys something i've been thinking about for quite some time now." everyone at the table turned to him, concerned if it was bad news. minho took the eye contact as a sign to continue telling his plan to his friends.

"so... i want to confess to jisung..." minho said shyly, expecting shocked reactions from his friends, but no word was being spoken.

"well... we kind of saw it coming, and we want to support you a hundred percent, but are you very sure of your feelings for him, because you've only met for barely a term in school," chan said, slightly on behalf of changbin and felix. changbin nodded in agreement, not wanting jisung or minho to get hurt.

"i know, we have only been friends for 3 months, but the moment i saw him on that rooftop, it felt like my world had been complete. i really like him, and i think maybe he likes me too," minho said with much confidence. after hearing from minho, felix felt reassured that he would take care of his best friend very well, and that he could trust him.

"then what do we need to do?" felix asked. minho smiled at felix, and then at the others after seeing them nod at felix's words.

"alright, so here's the plan."

"that's pretty doable, i think it's great!" changbin said, after minho explained to the rest about the plan. "so this saturday?" changbin asked, confirming the date.

"yeah, since midterms are done tomorrow," minho replied. everyone nodded, as they started turning their heads back to their books after the short 10-minute discussion on the plan.

as minho was feeling great about his plan, his eyes looked around the cafeteria, until a thought popped up in his mind as his eyes met the restroom sign, "what's taking jisung so long though?" his worry grew and he could not help but feel as if something happened to jisung.

"i'm going to go check on jisung to see if he's okay," minho said, not waiting for an answer as he quickly dashed to the restroom that was just at the entrance of the cafeteria. he noticed the door that was closed, which does not usually occur unless it's early in the morning or late in the evening. his concern grew in his heart, as he quickly rushed towards the door to open it.

as he pushed the door open, he saw three boys hovering over jisung, kicking him and swearing at him as he lay on the floor weakly.

"what do you mean no, you fuckhead?! how dare you shake that stupid head of yours?" dongwon said as he gave one more kick to jisung before his collar was being grabbed by someone from the back.

before he knew it, he felt a strong punch at his right cheek. dongwon's two "friends" then turned behind as they saw him being punched. they charged at minho, but minho successfully dodged their attempted punch and kick from myeongyi and kihoon, giving them a hard kick to their stomachs each. he grabbed myeongyi's wrist as he tried to punch him another time, causing a loud crunch from myeongyi's wrist to be heard. as he attacked myeongyi to the floor again, kihoon and dongwon attempted fighting him at the same time, but minho was definitely much more experienced in fighting than they were.

soon, the three grew tired, as when minho finally fought kihoon to his knees, he immediately rushed to jisung who was close to half-dead from the kicks and punches of his bullies.

"jisung, i'm so sorry, i am so late, i'm sorry," minho said as he could not stop apologising to jisung for not coming earlier than he did. he held jisung tightly in his arms as he hugged him softly, not wanting to hurt his wounds, as jisung weakly hugged him back.

"is everything... okay..." felix said as he rushed into of the restroom quickly with chan by his side, only to see the mess that was in front of him. his eyes quickly travelled to minho and jisung, as his eyes started to water when he saw the bloodstains on jisung's uniform and the bruises on his arms. the two australians rushed to their friends, as chan noticed minho's tears and tear stains on his face and felix's watery eyes that were close to crying.

"let's bring him to the infirmary," chan said.
