[ jisung pov ]

as i walked into class at 6.50 a.m. in the morning, the sun half-risen in the sky, i looked at the board, sighing at the reminder that the midterm exams were next week. remembering that today was friday, i sighed a second time at the thought that i only had the weekends left to finish up on the revision for the next week of exams. to make matters worse, there were two exams each day, as it was the first midterm, hence not carrying a very high percentage of the overall for the year. i walked to my table at the back of the class, not looking forward to the teachers screaming in our faces today.

slowly, everyone came into class, sitting at their places without a care if they were using their phones as there were no prefects in this class.

"hey jisung," felix said, as he came in earlier than expected today. "mom rushed me out today, so i'm early." i smiled, signing to felix, "yeah, early, morning assembly's starting in five minutes." felix shrugged his shoulders as he settled down in his seat, preparing the things needed for the first lesson after morning assembly. as he did so, he asked me, "minho asked me to let him walk you home yesterday, how did that go?"

"well, you walked home with changbin yesterday, how did that go?" i signed as i counterattacked.

"don't change the subject..." felix said, blushing as he probably thought about changbin. "what happened yesterday?" felix asked. i recalled the memory from the day before, and what happened before minho left my home. i looked down, turning away from felix for awhile before mentally slapping myself as i thought about it.

"did you two kiss?" felix asked, making me widen my eyes at felix's accurate guess. i checked to look around the class if anyone heard him, but fortunately no one seemed to hear.

"how did you know?" i signed quickly, as felix was also shocked at his smart guess.

"really?" felix exclaimed in a whisper. i nodded, feeling that my ears were heating up. "your ear is so red," felix said, stating the obvious, as he teased me. i covered my face with my hands, shaking my head, as the bell rang, with an announcement coming from the public address (PA) system, "good morning schoolmates and teachers, this is your head of student council kim seungmin. school, please rise for morning assembly."

i mentally thanked seungmin for sparing me from the embarrassment felix could have put me through as i stood up, following the rest of the class.
