Chapter Six- I think I've Fallen In Love? Or Maybe It's Just Friendship?

If I break my promise to my family, I'll be caught once again in the grasp of my mother's evil hands. If I go through with this marriage, I'll be forever in love with someone else instead of my husband. I thought about this for quite some time, until I was brought out of the calamity which is my mind and thoughts, going back into reality with a certain voice. A male's voice, so deep like the ocean or maybe even as deep as my own thought process.

" Bayonetta? Are you okay?" I look up to see Tiberias grabbing my wrist and his arm around my waist to keep me from falling. " Huh? Oh yes, I am fine. Thank you for catching me." He smiled at me as I fixed myself, getting out of his arms. " I J-Just didn't want you getting hurt. " He turned away from me as he blushed softly. " It's okay, I'll never get hurt with you by my side right?" He nodded and I smiled brightly at him. It was genuine because I've only smiled like this to my father or siblings, now he was included in seeing my true and rare smile. I saw his face turn a bright red as did mine when I saw his. " Your smile is too cute, It might be contagious." I blushed and saw my maid come outside to where we were standing. " Sorry to interrupt you two, but Lady Scarlet, your fiance has just arrived and would like to speak to you privately." I nodded as I saw Tiberias' expression darken in nature like he hated the fact that I was engaged. " It's fine, I'll be back. He probably is just bringing me another gift." I saw him give me a nod and sit in the roses while I walked to Adrien, this is the seventh time he's been here in two days and it was honestly pissing me off for him to just show up at my house to shower me in unneeded and unwanted attention. I finally get to Adrien and he pulls me close to him, laying kisses from my cheek down to my neck. " Can you stop and tell me why you're here? " He looked at me and a small smirk appeared on his face. " I just wanted to see you, my lovely fiance. That's all." I slightly rolled my eyes and tried to be as nice as possible. " I have one of my friends over right now so, I can't give you my time right now Adrien. " He gave me a look and grabbed my hand, " I want to meet this friend of yours." I nodded and we both walked to the rose garden where Tiberias and I were sitting earlier. I got a very protective vibe from Adrien as he laid eyes on Tiberias sitting there. " Tiberias!" I yelled slightly to get his attention as he looked in the direction of my voice. " Oh hey, you're- " I stopped mid-sentence and saw he locked eyes with Adrien, the two males both giving off a dominate protector vibe to one another. I let out a small sigh and walk between them. " Adrien, this is my friend, Tiberias. Tiberias, this is my fiance, Adrien." They both nodded and shook each other's hands like they were going to break them. I laughed awkwardly because I knew they hated each other and the winner of this hatred would want me as their prize. " Okay, that's enough." I grabbed their hands and pulled them away from each other. " Well my sweet fiance, I must go, but I promise to make up our time." I tried not to roll my eyes." You don't have to, I don't need constant attention. I am a teenage girl, not a small child." He looked at me with a glare as Tiberias smirked between me, putting his hand on my shoulder. Adrien looked at us with the most disgust I had ever seen from a person as he talked and walked away. " Fine, but I'll get you something then. Don't share it with your friend. " I watched Tiberias yell to Adrien and I sighed and blushed lightly. " Hey, Adrien! You messed up, I'm her best friend!" He let out a small laugh of victory as we sat back down in the roses. " Why is he so uptight and piss-poor proper?" I look at him and think while putting my hair in a ponytail. " He's just very judgemental and serious all the time, how his parents raised him I guess. " He looked at me while putting his hands on my cheeks, pulling my face closer to his. " T-Tiberias? What are you doing?" He didn't answer me as I tried to move away from his hand and he pulled me even closer. " I don't know why, but I just have this certain urge to keep you close and protect you. You're just so beautiful, from your hair, your smile, and your personality. " I blushed and looked away from him, knowing that I probably seduced him within weeks of being friends. I didn't think he would come on so strong like this. I looked at him and kissed his cheek while grabbing his hands. " Then protect me from anyone who has the intent of hurting me, I trust you with my life." He blushed and smiled at me while nodding. We both looked behind us to see slow clapping from my mother. " Mother, go away. I told you to stay away from me. " I saw her sigh while looking at Tiberias. " What would your fiance say about this? basically giving yourself to this boy. It's disgusting because you'll be getting married to someone else." I got angry and kept my cool as much as I could talking to her. " We're friends, the only reason I'm marrying Adrien is to get you to leave me alone and I can be free from you and live my life the way I want. Adrien can go die once I get away from you." I saw her give off an evil smirk and nod while Tiberias just looked at us. " Very well my daughter, I will consider your words within a conversation with your father. " I watched her walk away from us as I felt flowers in my hair. " No matter what I do, you still look beautiful, like a rose in nothing but daisies." I giggle at him and smile. " Thank you, but you know you are so handsome to me. Oh, I have to ask you something, Will you come to my engagement party in a few weeks? I don't want to be alone there." I saw him nod as I smiled. " Anything for my best friend. " I get up and run into the rose maze, knowing that he would follow me as I hid. " Bayonetta? This maze is huge! Where did you go?" I listen to his voice and every time he got closer, I moved into the maze more and finally sat in the middle of the maze. " Still having a hard time Alexander?" I hear him get closer. " Not at all Bayonetta Elizabeth." I blush at the fact he used one of my middle names. " Well, I'm glad you found me. " He pulled me close to him by the waist and kissed my forehead." I'm glad I found you too." I giggled and kinda moved my face closer to his while feeling our lips get closer with each moment until I heard footsteps outside. " Bayonetta, where are you?" It was my father's voice and I immediately moved away from him and blushed madly as I walked away. " Yes, Father?" I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear since it wasn't in my ponytail while looking down at him, still having the red rose flower crown in my hair. " Are you okay? Your friend is still here right? " I nodded as he continued to talk." Well, your mother has informed me that you don't want to continue your engagement. You don't want to break your promise do you, my princess?" I think about what she said to me earlier and bit my finger in frustration. " No! I would never! She just trying to ruin my life and you know that! Why do let her do this to your family? huh!? Because you love her? I want to find love too Dad, It's not fair!" I walked away from him while I felt tears threatening to spill from my eyes as they turned back into a lifeless, depressing dark blue. Tiberias ran up to me and touched my face. " Are you okay? I heard you yell at your Dad and-" I stopped him mid-sentence and kissed him. I felt him tense up before calming down and finally returning the kiss. I pulled away and looked at him smiling. " I thought I should give you that since I ran away from you so fast." He laughed and looked at me while I smiled. " Anything you give me I'll take because I'm going to protect you." I nodded and we walked inside to eat snacks I got the idea to watch movies. We stayed up until about two in the morning and he had to leave before my parents found out he stayed that long. I feel like I've had the most normal life when I'm around him like I don't have to change myself to give off a certain tone to impress people. It calms me from the reality of everything in the world, In my life.
