Act 6 : Sister's Feelings

Layla is cooking on the side. She is very please with this cooking tools that makes it all very easy to cook her family a meal. She looks at the tent his third son bought. Its so huge that it looks like a huge small house they are all leaving before. It is also not that cold even though its only made of a very sturdy cloth she never saw before. Her husband said his third son is rich on the other world. She is happy to see his third son but she also thinks that if he is living a better life on the other side then she wont force him to stay with them but of course someone like Xavier will not be part with his parents whatever struggle they have.

"You have been watching that little square all morning. Come and help your mother." Layla smiles seeing her daughter looking at the small tablet. After his third son brought it to show his brother how to make their house her daughter subdue all rights for that small thing that pops out talking human.

She looks ahead and saw all the men in the family painstakingly making their own house out of bricks. The design is very unique and the materials they are using looks very expensive. She really doesn't want to let her third son burn all his money but her husband only assure her that bricks on Earth is not as pricey as the bricks in this place. Her son doesn't only buy materials he also buy them tools that looks so convenient. They don't even have to use hammer to slip the nails on the wood. She thought its very magical. Her son said it's a bit pricey but it can be used for along time and its convenient if they want faster result.

"Mother, its only been a month and I can already see the shape of our new house." Cheska said very amaze.

"Your Father and brothers are even continuing till its dark saying they want to finish early before other people find it strange and check us out. You call them first to eat breakfast."

They have to bee stealthy and make sure that they wont get discovered. Xavier didn't go around and fear to caught some people's curiosity and start visiting them. That will definitely sucks. Good thing people here are all selfish. They didn't show up in fear that their family are too poor that they will beg for food. Everyone are avoiding them like they have some diseases.
Time fly so past.
Gerald and Harvey are looking buff from all the protein and vegetables they ate. They always eat rice too and never did they have to worry if they can eat tomorrow. Layla and Cheska also gain weight and they now look better than before. Healthy and young.

Julius is happy to see everyone's improving. Xavier is also a bit weak but he is gaining a bit of muscle due to lifting heavy objects.

Five months passed and the house are now complete. Its hard but they already passed the hardship stage. The house are more fulfilling than they could ever expected. They didn't paint outside but they make sure the wood they use are evenly covered with varnished. Painting it inside with white and blue paint makes Xavier happy. His father asks him if its really okay but he said he already compromise not painting the outside.
He almost get overboard and buy a cotton sala set when his father stops him because receiving area are meant to receive friends and visitors. He compromise in buying all the beds, mattresses, curtains and blankets. Its not like outsiders will go inside their rooms so he get overboard and buy a cabinet pull of cotton clothes. His father said the cotton fabric here is a bit rougher than on Earth. At least his family will sleep well. Xavier is not stingy with his expenses. He even bought his mother and sister a lot of expensive matching accessories.
After they settled in, thee whole family are full of even more cheers.
The villagers thinks they are dead though. They almost never showed their faces. They all know that Gerald was injured. If he is not injured then he should have hunt in the forest or come in the village to sell fish he caught or go around asking if they need help. Gerald is very popular for doing labor in exchange for food. Actually, Gerald is not injured, he pretend to be injured so he can skip the farm work for the main house and find food for his own family. Luckily, Julius and Xavier arrive in time to help him.
