I had just gotten back to the shack when that all too familiar sound of teleporting started to surround me.

I turned, half expecting to see humans with swords drawn, but was unpleasantly surprised to see a group of six endermen popping up between the trees.

Overhead, the clouds were dissipating, showing the half moon halfway through it's nightly climb. It was still an unsettling sight to see, even after being in the overworld for as long as I had been.

The endermen were laughing at each other, until they spotted me. Then, wicked grins stitched themselves across their faces.

"Dennis!" The leader yelled in ender, laughing. He sauntered over, grinning still, with the air of someone seeing an old friend. Something I knew we weren't.

"It's Phil, but close enough" I said, turning away from them. I didn't have time for this.

"We just thought we'd come see how you were liking this new assignment" The leader laughed, "No need to get hostile with us now. Doesn't look good in the report"

"If I remember correctly, Girk, It wasn't an 'assignment' that sent me here" I growled. Anger boiled in my veins.

I push it back. If I could get inside, I could ignore them. I walked toward my door. They'd have their fun and leave, taunting from outside.

A hand grabbed my shoulder.

"You're right, freak" Girk glared "But you've still got to be respectful to your seniors, even after banishment."

I rolled my eyes. I really didn't have the time for this. The others circled around us, grinning like a pack of nether beasts.

"So you've still got the position of lap dog for the sergeant?" I asked, feigning innocence and sincerity, "Remind me, which hole do you like it in? I'd hate to ruin it for him by ripping it out from the other"

The others whistled and growled, but I grinned. The anger growing on Girk's face was just too good to pass up. Then, as if he had a thought for once, a different emotion crossed his face.

"Don't worry" He growled, pushing me away by the very shoulder he was holding, "You're not getting the chance to try that"

Two enders from the group suddenly disappeared. I tensed and teleported onto the roof just as they appeared on either side of me. They lunged, only to fall into each other, ending up on the ground. I laughed, looking down at them.

"Get back here you coward!" Girk roared.

"Or what?" I taunted "You're the coward here, sending your 'friends' to do your dirty work. You too prissy to try yourself? Gonna break a nail or a fang?" I sat on the roof and smirked down at him.

Girk only roared in response. That was soon followed by the sound of ripping wood as the shack started to tilt even more toward it's bad side. I stood up and looked over the edge.

Two more from the pack were ripping chunks out of the siding, throwing the pieces into the woods behind them.

"Hey! Stop that!" I shouted. They only grinned, and started pulling at one of the supporting logs. The house shook.

Suddenly, a foot planted itself in my back. Shocked, I fell before teleporting and rolling to a stop. The two ripping apart my house grabbed me before I could get up, but pulled me to my feet anyway.

I struggled, but they held my arms tight as Girk and the other three slowly made their way over.

"We told you, Dennis" Girk grinned. "You should've shown more respect for us"

I spit at him, hitting him directly in his fat, cocky face. He wiped it away distastefully.

"We came to talk is all" He said innocently enough. "The Sergeant wanted to give you another chance. He always had- a sweet spot for you"

"Like he does for you or-?" I started. The blow landed squarely on my cheek, sending my vision wheeling.

"He's weak" Girk spat. "He thought you might be helpful to the cause, but look at you. You're pathetic. Even your own mother knew you were worthless when she abandoned you on the cliffs. No ender is naturally born with green eyes. Only defects and hybrids have those"

I stared at him, or the two of him as my vision slowly came back into focus, with as cold, uncaring look as I could manage. Inside, everything was rioting.

"The sergeant wanted you back, but I guess we'll have to tell him we found you dead already. Due to the elements" Girk said. The other three enders slowly advanced from behind him.

"Wait, Girk- I was- I was just kidding" I forced a laugh "Like old times?"

Girk smirked "No, Phil. There were no old times" And he turned and walked toward the shack.

"Don't forget to throw him in some water when you're done. We don't want a body" He called over his shoulders.

The blows rained down one after the other, relentless. With the two holding my arms, there was nothing I could do to stop it.
