Chapter 36 : Semi Finals

 ~Darren's POV~

~After 1 week~

Semi finals na! And I'm gonna sing One Moment in Time.

Tita, Tito, Mom, Dad, Erika, Lynelle and Rika said 'Goodluck' to me.

"Thank you sa mga 'goodlucks' ninyo. I will really do my best." I told them.

"Mr. Darren  Espanto, you're next." 

I went to the stage while Kuya Luis is announcing something.

"He's a singer, dancer, belter, complete performer na kukumpleto na rin sa gabi niyo. Muli niya tayong papahangain sa interpretasyon ng kanyang kantang inareglo pa ng aids musical director na si Sir Homer Flores. This is One Moment In Time by Team Sarah. Let's give it up for Darren!" he announced.

"Wow! Darren! The whole Resorts World goes crazy!" Kuya Luis said.

"Thank you po."

"Great job, brother, great job. Coach Lea, you have a smile in your face. Ano ang masasabi mo sa performance ni Darren?"

"Oh my Gosh. The words phenomenal come to... Phenomenal is the only word that I can think of you right now. That trip from Calgary to the Philippines was absolutely worth it for all of us watching you go from strength to strength. It was... You really took advantage of this moment and your family had better be so proud of you. You were amazing. That was amazing." Coach Lea commented.

"Naiyak si Daddy ngayon, there!" Kuya Luis said while pointing at my Dad.

"Where's Daddy?" Coach Lea asked/

"Napapaluha ngayon si Daddy. Nakaupo 'dun si Daddy. At ang napatayo pa right after your performance syempre your very own Coach Sarah." Kuya Luis said.

"Hello po." I greeted her.

"~You're a winner!~ Yey!! Darren! Naku naman with that kind of performance neto, parang pang-grand finals na talaga ito. Talagang you really enjoyed that moment. At naniniwala ako na forever mong yayakapin ang stage na tutung-tungan mo, every place na tutung-tungan mo, talagang handang handang handang handang handa ka na Darren." Coach Sarah said.

"Thank you po Coach."

"At alam namin kung gaano ka na kagaling na performer, singer, dancer at na sa'yo din and good-looks, TOTAL PACKAGE ka na, pero... Pero Darren, randam na randam ko that you are a good boy, you have this pure heart at alam mo naman ang batang may talento at mabait na bata, bine-bless talaga ng Dios so congratulations Darren. We love you!" Coach Sarah added.

"Thank you po!" I thanked.

"Congratulations Darren. Good job, bro." 

"Thank you po." 

I went backstage.

"You did great, bro." JK said.

"Thanks. You did the same too."

"So, how's Erika? Ok, na ba kayo?"

"Yeah."

"But how?"

"I just said sorry to her."

"Pero, si Xander? Where is he?"

"That's my question. I just don't like to ask her where is he."

~Erika's POV~

*Bzzztttt*

From : Andrea

'Ekang, ang galing ni Mr. Domino kanina, ah! btw, nasan na si Xander? It's been weeks since I didn't see him :('

To : Andrea 

'Oo nga, eh. Tatawagan ko na lang.'

I tried to call Xander. Namiss ko na 'yung taong tumatawag sakin ng 'pugs', eh!

FIRST CALL : No answer

SECOND CALL : Still no answer

THIRD CALL : He answered na!

"Xander. Where are you? I miss you so much as a friend."

[ I'm sorry ] Alam kong malungkot siya ngayon. Halata sa boses, eh.

"For what?"

[ N-nothing. ]

"Xander, please tell me. You didn't do anything wrong naman, eh!"

[ It's because....... It's because, right now, nandito na ako sa America. ]

"What?! Without telling me?! Why?!"

[ It seems like.... You're happy with Darren now. ]

"I'm not gonna be happy if you're not here."

[ Hindi mo naman ako relative. ]

"Oo nga, but  you are a good friend of mine."

[ Sorry na. Just enjoy your time, I swear magkikita tayo ulit. ]

"Promise 'yan ha?"

[ Of course! Cross my heart..... May gagawin pa ako. I'll text you na lang. Bye! ]\

*Call ended*

Then when I turned around, Darren was there. OMAH! Baka narinig niya na nag-usap kami ni Xander!

"Oh.. Uhmm... You sang it very well. So, congrats....??" Ang fake ko naman :3

He just stared at me.

"What?" I asked confusedly.

"Nothing."

I just nodded.

"Mr. Darren Espanto! Pinapatawag ka ni Coach Sarah!" a staff called.

"I'll be back." he said then went to a room.

I quickly texted Andrea for the information.

To : Andrea

'Drea, si Xander bumalik sa U.S. It seems happy na raw kasi ako with Darren. But he promised to come back.'

From : Andrea

'HUWAAAAT? Pasaway na Xander! Babatukan ko talaga 'yun pagbalik niya. Joke.'

Nagulat lang ako kasi may kumalabit sakin. Asus! 'Yung crush lang pala ni Andrea, si JK.

"O, Jekoy, what's up?"

"Si Darren nagseselos. Bye!" Tapos umalis na siya. Eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhdi wow! Yieee! Kilig ako d'un, ah.
