Au : separate Steven au

Time frame : between unleash the light and the start of Steven universe future so there like 15 or 16 also this is canon to the au

Author notes : 💮 so you know that sand thing of pink playing in is is well he likes making sand castles so this was made also to give a reason to bathe together because sand is itchy ok 💮

Steven heard ringing from his phone and got up from his bed . as he looked at the date Today was a special day ' as his package arrived today . he went to his closet and looked for a beach bag ' and to his dresser for swimming trunks .

and put his phone in his pocket ' as he was not going swimming today as he walked down the stairs . to the door he opened the door to find the box as he grabbed it and put the bag and box on the countertop ' as he opened the package to see brightly colored sand play set . he took it out of the box and on to the counter .

he sent a message through their link " hey pink can't you come out I want to show you something " pink feeling a tug and a message through their link responded . " ok " Steven felt warmth and a tingling felling travel to his left and soon a light leave him .  the only thing connecting them was a light wapping around his wrist .

he looked at the light taking shape and going through the forms his gem has taken it was still a little weird not to have his gem as the other pososed it . when they were almost fully separated only connected by the string linking them . pink floted down to the floor there link and his gaining there pink color .

pink looked at him " what was it you wanted to show me " said as he looked at him . " well I thought going out to the beach and try to make something out of sand would be fun to do together " smiling at pink as he looked at him ' " but um I think swimming trunks would be more comfortable wait right here I think I have a spare in my room " pink looked at him and in a poof the shirt pants and jacket went away replaced by pink swim trunks . " well that works to " Steven said as he reached for the bag and sand toys and walked to the door .

pink following behind Steven extending his hand absent-mindedly for pink to take pink grabbed the hand surprising him as he turned his head to him then smiling ' and turned back to open the door and make there way to the bottom part of the beach . pink letting go for to Steven get in to the bag he was caring and got out a beach towel . and placed it .

on the sand and sat the bags down next to it ' as he then got out the brightly colored sand castle molds . " ok pink follow me " as they walked closer to the shore " this should be good enough . " Steven said as he looked at the darker sand " ok pink I'm going to show you how this works " said as Steven bended down to the sand and started putting Sand in the mold till it was full .

then walking back to there little spot on the beach marked by the two bags and towel ' and the other sand toys . he bended down to place the mold of sand flipping it to make the sand castle . " ok so now you lift it up slowly " Steven said as he carefully lifted the mold " and ta-daw now here ' pink let's see you try " handing the mold to him .

pink looked at him then the mold and went to retrieve the sand to make a ' sand castle ' going by what steven told him and Stevens old memories of making them ' though with out the molds . as he got the sand and turned to go back to were Stevens sand castle was . puting it close to Stevens and flipping it over and then slowly ' well a lot slower than Steven .

Taking off the mold he saw Steven over closer to the shore . By were they got the sand ' picking up shells ? And other things that looked interesting such as sea weed . ( 💮 I wish I could touch sea weed 💮 ) to once he seemed satisfied he walked back to his sand castle and started to decorate it ' with the things he collected .

he watched him decorate it but he wanted his to be decorated like Stevens after watching him . Steven looked up from his sand castle to pink walking over to the shore to collect things ? He must of liked what he was doing with his sand castle . pink seemed picky with what materials he used but after awhile he walked back with sea shells and other things from the beach in his hands .

he sat next to him and got to work on finishing his sand castle his sand castle was long done by now so he sat enjoying the breeze and watching pink work . Once pink looked satisfied ' with his work he leaned back . " wow that looks good pink " he looked at the sky as the sunset on the horizon .

" hmmm let's get in side before it gets to dark ' and get all this sand off . " pink looked at him and nodded getting up and walking to the house . he looked at the sand castles " hey let me take a picture first for memorys " taking out his phone from his pocket and took a picture ' and puting it back in his pocket .

and started picking up the sand toys and mold and put it back in it's bag and he picked up the towel ' shaked it and folding it putting it back in the beach bag ' and picking up the bag and walking to pink " ok I'm done now let's go get all this sand off " taking pinks hand and walking to their house .

More author notes : 💮 this took along time to write because of well my life and yea know Christmas and New year's and well school staring back in two days but I'm happy with it I made it a little different as I did not do it in one go next one right after this is ' bath time ' but I will try to do it and work on other things and other stuff for pinkLily's but anyways I hope you enjoyed this I worked hard on it :) 💮
