A Big Notice

Trigger Warnings: Slut-Shaming, bullying (please let me know if I missed one).

As I was walking towards my locker I saw a big crowd of people around the notice board. Usually, one or two people came to check at a time, since most of the announcements posted there were casting calls or after school activities. Intrigued by the crowd, I went to leave my stuff at my locker and walked over to the notice board.

"Omg! Can you believe it? Thomas Sanders is coming to our high school!" Shouted one of the students.

"And he's going to talk about LGBT+ youth? I can't!" Shouted another.

In the midst of all this chaos, I spotted my friend, Sage, and walked over to them. When they saw me they started walking over to me too. I hugged them, as a form of saying hi, and asked:

"Why are these people here? Not a lot of people check the notice board."

"Thomas Sanders is coming to our school, Y/N, so a lot of people are freaking out." Sage pointed out.

"Ok? Two questions. One, who is this Thomas Sanders, and two, why is he even coming here?"

"Thomas Sanders is this YouTuber who is a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and does other stuff too. And the reason he is coming here is that he's giving out LGBTQ+ youth talks all around the area and one of the high schools he's coming to is ours."

"Wow, so like he's really big?"

"Yeah, he is!"

"It's kind of weird tho," I paused and looked at Sage who was staring in confusion. I continued, "don't big YouTubers like these usually charge some money for stuff like this? I just find it weird that he's going around the state doing this for free."

"I mean it is kind of weird but maybe he's- yeah I honestly don't know why he's doing that." Sage laughed.

We started to talk about an upcoming test we had and the bell rang. We said goodbye and both headed to our respective classes. I kept thinking about Thomas. I was kind of surprised about the fact that someone famous was coming here.

I looked for my keys and pushed the door open. I left my bag on the floor and went towards the kitchen. I opened the fridge and took out some peanut butter and jelly. I got a notification from my Tumblr. Again it was Tumblr recommending me more blogs to follow.

Since I was bored and had nothing to do I opened Tumblr and saw a certain blog that caught my eye. Their username was 'thatsthat24'. I clicked on it and saw his page. He had reposted a few funny memes, so I kept scrolling. Eventually, I found a few skits that he had done himself. I had laughed at every one of them.

I suddenly remembered that I had to post a video. Even though my YouTube channel wasn't super popular (having around 17k subscribers) people did seem to enjoy what I posted so I made a promise to myself to post at least two times a month. I didn't know what to post so I just decided to start a livestream and started answering questions.

The next day at school I was immediately called to a student council meeting. It made me quite curious since emergency meetings don't usually happen. I quickly made my way through the school and arrived at the council room. I quickly sat down and waited for the rest of the student council members.

When everyone arrived the president cleared his throat and started,

"So as you all know tomorrow Thomas Sanders is coming here to give an LGBT+ talk to the rest of the students. We need to have a little speech which Y/N will write since Y/P the one who's the fastest at writing."
