❝ a fucking hotel ❞

( one month later )

"LOOK, Josh is coming today, I don't want think about anything from before. Especially any thoughts I used to have regarding Olivia." Riley says folding blankets cleaning up the apartment as Corey just lays on the couch watching You.

"Okay that's what I'm talking about Riley 2.0."

"Riley 2.0?"

"The new Riley, doesn't look at comments anymore, doesn't believe what the internet says, and can talk to people when she has something to say."

The girl nervously laughs, "Well... See that's funny because I maybe have peeked a wittle and perhaps I haven't talked to him at all about my problems." She paints it over with a baby lisp and a smile to soften the blow.

"Riley," He has this, are you serious, tone as the a fist knocks on the other side of the apartment door.

"That's him, keep your mouth shut."

She walks over to the door and twists them door knob. Pulling it back a sense of shock on her face.

SHE wore leggings and her hair in a lose ponytail. "Hi Riley! Josh is getting something for you," Her wide smile makes Riley's fake one grow.

"Olivia!" Her tone was half surprised and half faux excitement. "I wasn't expecting you!" Olivia steps into a light hearted hug.

"I know. Josh said you would be so kind and let me stay for a month." Olivia let's go. "You are so kind."

"Y-Yeah, you can sleep on the couch, what brings you to the city?"

"Just tourist things, more shows, sight seeing, you know."

Just then, an out of breathe Joshua appears. "Hey, sorry about that I had to get— Riley!" He cuts himself off noticing the beautiful blonde and running up to her into a tight hug.

"I love you Joshy," Her voice muffled because her mouth was pressed against her shoulder.

"Love you too Rils." He puts her down.

"Uhh, here," Above his suit case was a bouquet of flowers.

"Josh, ya gotta stop with these presents." Speaking of presents that's when her mind puts it together. Olivia holds the teddy bear in her hands. Her teddy bear.

"They're flowers, I think they're two different things."

Riley's delicate hands grab the flowers. "They're beautiful." Maybe it was seeing them together in real life made her seem more and more stupid.
