Memories of love's lost embrace
Weighing, Dragging, pulling,
Begging to be released
Memories of lips that kissed passionately and sweetly,
Hands that caressed tenderly and bold,
Eyes that gazed lovingly yet deep
Into the heart
Memories of dreams shared and shattered
Demanding to be freed from the soul
Trying to burn bright with hope.
Memories in ashes from the heart
Daring to burn bright with its precious remnants of love.
