"How in the blazes did you get off that island?" Barbossa spat before I could question how in the hell my brother was alive and well. Barbossa had moved down the mound of treasure to stand before Jack, who was being held by Pintel and Ragetti, but I was still frozen, staring at the ghost.

"When you marooned me on the godforsaken spit of land, you forgot one very important thing, mate. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow." Jack said, a smug smile on his face, and I think I actually felt tears building in my eyes as I stared at him, but still, I could not move.

"Ah, well, I won't be making that mistake again. Gents, you all remember Captain Jack Sparrow? Kill him." Barbossa roared, and all the men around him raised their weapons, and that broke me out of my stupor.

"No! Wait." I yelled, rushing down the pile of gold, and all my men froze, turning to look at me, and it was like Barbossa just remembered that I was there, and exactly who I was because his face was as white as a sheet.

"Men. Take Hector Barbossa to the ship. He is to be put in the brig, and I will deal with him when this matter is settled." I growled out, and before Barbossa could flinch, Bo'sun and the others grabbed him by his arms, and started to drag him away.

"Wait! Captain! I'm sorry, don't do this!" He roared, his feet scraping the ground, but I didn't feel anything for that man but rage.

"I spared your life once Barbossa. I won't make that mistake again."

"Irena." Jack's soft whisper broke me out of my glaring match with Barbossa's departing body, and my gaze flashed over to him. He looked a wreck if we're being honest. But I could see the sincerity in his eyes when he looked at me.

"Jack." I answered, hesitantly, not knowing if he wanted to kill me for staying with the Pearl, or what.

"It's been awhile Rena." Jack mumbled, with his arms still gripped in Pintel and Rigetti's tight grips.

"It's actually Captain now." I mumbled, and a grin spread across his face.

"Good for you. Now... back to business. The girl's blood didn't work, did it?" He said, and I shook my head.

"No. I'm assuming you know whose blood I need?"

"I know whose blood you need." Jack said, a gigantic smirk on his face, and I felt my heart warm at the fact that I finally had my big brother back.

Maybe everything would work out after all.

A/N: Sorry it's short but I needed to get back in the swing of things!
